Horror 'The Last of Us' HBO Series

I cannot get the image of Nick Offerman playing Banjo-Kazooie out of my mind now. :funny:

This is canon now and who are you to say it's not?

Hope next episode gives us brutal Joel. And Joel slit guy neck on broken glass for instance And episode shows how far more dangerous are humans from infected.

I actually got burnt out on the human on human violence in Walking Dead. I'd rather not see this devolve into that here. :( I don't like to watch high levels of cruelty .

If that's the case then I don't see me finishing this. :( I'll keep going until I can't stand it, but I can see me dropping out like I did with WD.

I will say, there is a purpose to the violence and there's a point to be made, but yeah, some sequences will get really graphic and hard to watch once they adapt Part II. There's some similar stuff coming up this season as well, but it's few and far between by comparison.

With WD it was like each human group was trying to one up the group before them on how mean they could be. That's what gets wearisome for me. That and consistently killing off my favorite people. I guess I'll have to see if this takes that same thing happens here.

I noticed that they've released the episode titles except for 9.

Episode 4 "Please Hold My Hand"
Director: Jeremy Webb
Writer: Craig Mazin

Episode 5 "Endure and Survive"
Director: Jeremy Webb
Writer: Craig Mazin

Episode 6 "Kin"
Director: Jasmila Žbanić
Writer: Craig Mazin

Episode 7 "Left Behind"
Director: Liza Johnson
Writer: Neil Druckmann

Episode 8 "When We Are in Need"
Director: Ali Abbasi
Writer: Craig Mazin

Episode 9 TBA
Director: Ali Abbasi
Writer: Craig Mazin & Neil Druckmann

What's funny is I just watched Ali Abbasi's new film and it's really a great choice for him to direct the final two.

I'd just like to point out that as an avid gamer that somehow remained loyal to Xbox (family room has a Series X, my son has a Series S, and various rooms have Xbox Ones and Xbox One X's), The Last of Us has always tugged at me to try a PlayStation for years now. None of the other PS exclusives have done that.

Because of this show I got a new PS5 last week and I'm going to start on TLOU Part 1 (the PS5 only remake) after I am done with the Dead Space Remake.

Oh cool. What is that film?

And on the Episode 9 title, maybe it's a spoiler for prior episodes.

It's called Holy Spider.
Think Se7en meets The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Great, thanks, will check out. Good if they have top talent to see this out at the end of the season to set up the hype for season 2.

I mean, other than people who dislike her casting, this was never feasibly going to happen. :funny:

In the exact same boat as an otherwise very content X-Box owner. Hilarious how close I am to at least splurging on a refurbished PS4 in large part just to properly experience these games (among others, but lets be real here).

What issue could people possibly be taking with Bella Ramsay?? She doesn't seem like remotely odd casting for the role. Assuming it is weird people being weird.

Because she doesn't physically resemble game Ellie. That's basically the gist of it.

Also I think people are forgetting that she's going to be 20 soon, so there's literally no problem with her playing an older Ellie that's more around her age range.

It's probably because there's a four year time jump between the games. People assumed they're gonna find an older actress to play Ellie for season 2 and so on.

I’m sure there are many more stories like this from others who hadn’t yet played the games. This show is going to be a huge boost for the series and the brand at large. Hopefully those on high will finally see that it is worth investing resources into top talent and taking games more seriously. Just a shame one of my biggest favourites Uncharted was thrown in to the fire just beforehand. :csad:
