It's made worse by the Smallville staff giving her fight scenes in her recent appearances

Watching those clips...This movie kind of resembles Catwoman..
Also what's wrong with Vega? Vega's supposed to be a pretty Spanish boy, but yeah he definitely acts like Blanka.

i think it's the work of directors who don't know how to film fight sequences.

Totally;

I remember an interview with Gary Daniels after the live action 'Fist of the North Star', where he says he had this amazing 30 vs 1 brawl beautifully choreographed and the director (who hadnt done action before) just butchered the hell out of it; even trying to tell Daniels how to correctly block a fight scene in the process (!)

"I was disgusted" was what he said when asked what he thought when he 1st seen it.

DoA didn't seem to take itself seriously though. That's why I think this movie might blow more, because it actually tries to be a serious, but all signs point towards fail.

What editing are you guys talking about? Chun-Li vs Vega? It didn't seem all that bad in the bathroom fight.

i was talking about the all of the fight editing. too many quick cuts and close angles.

exactly...DOA knew exactly what it was and didn't try to be anymore. it was a movie based on a video game that features well endowed, scantily clad chicks that fight in a tournament against other fighters with weird fashion senses....and the movie came off that way. you can tell it was a movie made for 13 y/o males.

this movie, however, tries to be serious but miserably fails...which is why it's looking like MORE of a failure than DOA. at least DOA had some good eye candy, i have yet to see ANYTHING from this movie that captures my interest.

well i grew up on street fighter, and chun li was always my character of choice so i will be seeing this movie not matter what.

Gotta say though, i was really excited when i first heard this was being made, and slowly as the trailer came out and these clips im seeing, im really doubting this will be a good or even decent movie.

SO im lowering my standards on this one, so that even if its atleast watchable, i will be ok with it.

2 of the 5 clips i saw on youtube were ok, the one in the alley way with chun li fighting some thugs was pretty cool, and the one in the bathroom.

I want to know who's responsible for the fight scenes. Vega gets kicked and the face and then he spins up... Wtf? That wouldn't even make sense if you put it in an anime. That scene is totally whack.

will this be better or worse than DOA??
DOA had hot girls with great tights.it was meant to be brainless.

this is trying to be serious and fails on every level. ohhh and kreuk as chun li ? hehehehehehehhehehehehehehehehe

"no wonder you wear a mask"
"ill cut you!..roar!"

omg!!.. thats disgusting!.. those lines are worse than anything in Ultraviolet or Catwoman put together.

terrible fight choreography as well.

wow

I think I said it was serious but I think that's pushing it a bit. It does have fireballs and a guy in a silver mask. Perhaps a form of hyper realism.

At it's heart it's more of a martial arts action movie then a drama.

wow

Overacting, for Christ's sake, calm down.

And most of the martial arts scenes we've seen so far are terrible. The scene with Chun Li's father is the only one I like so far.

Those clips do look horrible.
Looks like Justin Marks first produced screenplay will be a fail. Of course like his mentor his first few movies sucked as well. Hopefully He-man will be better, and hopefully he'll be better.

Fair enough, I still liked the bathroom battle. Needed more head plunging though.

Terminator, I'm starting to think you have connections with the production or something - to so wholeheartedly defend something which looks so awful, you must have a vested interest, surely..................

Terminator has the right to; I mean he's right, we shouldn't judge too much. But then again, there were like 2 guys who were defending The Spirit (in that board) till the very end. Same goes with Catwoman, and so forth. It makes you think about their taste in movies. LOL to the X-treme!
