Mention of Ryu and a tournament supposedly Bison lives or something along that line.

Line of the day:

"It is so bad that it is worse than stuff that hasn't even been made yet."

I hope a sequel is never made for this movie. It looks like this movie is so awful they'd have to reboot the SF series yet again to ensure this mediocracy isn't carried over to the next film.

Given that Fox cut the theater count to 1,000 and avoided advertising it, I doubt you have reason tow orrya bout that.

Sigh. Yeah, another reboot seems inevitable if another live-action film ever gets attempted... man, how tiresome.

LMAO, doubt we will be seeing one!

I'll stick with the animes. They are the only good representations of the source material.

First person to find a positive review of this film anywhere gets a shiny nickel!

Haven't watched Alpha yet; gonna Netflix that for the weekend. Hoping it's better than the SF2 Anime.

For me, the games and the UGO comics are pretty much all that's worth looking at.

I'd just like to get something off my chest:-

Shame on those people who questioned (ridiculed?) peoples judgement whenever they voiced their fears for this movie. Anyone with a modicum of sense could see the warning signs and predict how it would end up but no; they were labelled as mere fanboys intent on complaining for complaining's sake.

Despite comments to the contrary, there was no agenda to bash this movie. We were only calling it as we saw it.

I love when they talk about how Chun Li starts out young as Asian and becomes more caucasian, and that the same happens with Bison.

"We got nothin...let's throw in some magic".

Classic.

some bits, i can imagine lucy lui looking like she could kick some ass but definitely not fatty drew barrymore.

these dudes need someone like cynthia rothrock doing this film, imagine cynthia as cammy

these are some of her scenes from the 80s

i hear you there november

I've just figured out why Ken and Ryu arent actually in this movie;

They declined. ;)

You're "Shaming" those who dared to say "Hey, why not wait until it comes out before you hate on it?"

No.

Shame on you for acting retroactively righteous and justified about hating something before you ever had anything on your side other than some publicity stills. You're allowed to be concerned and say that things look bad, of course. Anyone is. But I feel choosing not to fully judge until a film (or at least, a franchise) hits is always a respectable approach.

You can go back in this thread, but I told you so.

No one is going to see a Chun Li movie starring Kristin Kreuk.

Stupidest way possible to even attempt re-booting Street Fighter.

Some of these reviews actually make me want to see this. Sorta like my weird fixation over PWZ. Man that movie was a steaming pile of God knows what, yet I loved every frikkin second.

Heh, probably netflix this when it hits DVD.

The problem with P:WZ was that it could have been great(especially in regards to being a Punisher film not just a film)but they decided to make it cheesy at parts. If they would have taken all the cheese out and replaced it with a more serious tone like half the movie already had it wouldn't have been trashed on as badly.

When it comes to this new Street Fighter movie...it's not that they cheesed anything up, it's just a ****** movie.

Yes.

A ton of us (hell, most of us) on here saw the signs and voiced our opinions. We started off optimistic but that optimism was slowly eroded as more details of the production became known.

But yeah, you're right, we totally guessed that this film was going to be rubbish. :whatever:

Anyways, I doubt I'd actually have posted what I did had the "Hey, why not wait until it comes out before you hate on it?" brigade been posting on this thread.

Sadly, their space was filled by the ''You're all just fanboys and haters'' lobby. That kinda thing can get a guys back up and make them act in 'retroactively righteous and justified' manner.

Given that we've actually been found to be right and justified, it's only natural.
