The Lighthouse

I guess we are gonna need subtitles after all.
What Robert Eggers doesn't realize is that nobody talks like that nowadays is because nobody could understand each other back then.

So, what's the premise of this again other than Dafoe and Pattinson going insane in a lighthouse? The original poster hints that there's some sort of sea creature in the movie (presumably a mermaid or something), but the trailers just show the two leads acting weird to each other.

On a basic level, that's the overall plot. It's a psychological thriller with comedic elements here and there.

Then what's that massive fish tail in the poster? You sure there's no creature twist at some point that A24's mostly keeping hidden?

Uh, you know what the word psychological means, right?

Just because the mermaid tail is in the poster doesn't mean she's real/not an hallucination. But then again, I haven't seen the movie, so who knows? Maybe it'll be left ambiguous.

Truthfully I don't know, Vision. Frankly I'm worried that I won't be able to see it without having to drive hours away. It may be a limited release.

@-VisionsVision- You're probably best to keep checking IMDB for release dates. Some parts of the world seem to be getting it early next year, UK is January, Netherlands is February, so it might be the same for Australia.

*sees no release date for Portugal, cries himself to sleep*
