People can post as many times as they want. It's all in fun. If you read back through the thread, there have been insightful posts about Loki and respectful debates about his motivations and actions. This is the one thread on this forum where there hasn't been any fighting over opinions. We've been very peaceful and have just enjoyed talking to one another.


If you want to change the subject, by all means do so. You could comment on the comics panels that catgirl is nice enough to post, for instance, or bring up topics that interest you. But you can't expect other people to stop discussing the actor just because it upsets you. This is the "Loki/Tom Hiddleston Thread," after all. Hiddles is in the title so he's fair game for discussion.

No, discussing the actor is fine. BigThor posted incredible interviews from Hiddleston a few pages back. That's relevant and solid discussion. A one line post of "I luv him so much" isn't discussing the actor. Especially when it happens, multiple times, every page. It's borderline spamming post counts. If I went to every thread and posted "I like Thor", with nothing else, over and over, I'd probably get infracted for spamming. This isn't any different. But, like I said, I have no problem with people expressing that, even still. It's just the repetitive nature of it that bugs me. I mean, come on...

They actually made a TV series. Moving comics with the same art. Pretty good, so-so for me.

If you look at the Scarlett Johansson and Cobie Smulders threads, you can find page after page of boys fawning over both actresses. Yet none of the women on this site has gone in to comment on that fact or suggest that other threads be created for the characters, as far as I've seen. Personally, I don't care much whether or how anyone else appreciates the talents and looks of any actor or actress in the movie. It's all good, as far as I'm concerned. Would that we could all be so tolerant of others' opinions.

To be fair, in the Scarlett Johansson thread people only fawn over he when a new pictures is posted and they quickly get back to discussing the character.

I think BigThor's point is that there is so little actual discussion about the character of Loki in this thread. It's basically page after page of girls fawning over Hiddleston (or Hiddles, as he likes to be called), with rows and rows of smiley faces. It's almost like there should be two threads. One for Hiddleston the actor, and one for Loki the character.

Yep this is exactly what I was saying, but catgirl18 does contribute worthwhile discussion and cool scans to this thread.

okay so according to the set report in the speculation thread, we have some dialougue from Tony about Loki.

it seems to be after the back and forth natter in the Stark Tower we saw in the trailer, Tony's looking pretty beat up, and he's upset. He's talking to Steve about how Loki's a diva (wanting a show and all that) LOL

So we know for sure that Loki causes some serious damage (not that that wasnt ever going to be the case, just glad for confirmation). Loki's definately getting the heroes rattled. I wonder what mind games he'll be playing with the others.

Also I'm looking forward to how the Hulk vs Loki fight plays out, though I'm a feeling when the first meet it'll be Banner vs Loki, much like Loki's gone after Stark in the tower.

I think it makes sense, in that Hulk would try to go after him alone.

I find that idea pretty awesome if I do say so myself, I don't know it's true or not but it would definately be great if it is.

Oh and I don't think Loki will "control" Hulk in the movie, just do things to perhaps influence him into going out of control for a bit.

I was going to blame my ovaries, but at almost 40 they're almost ready to be phased out of the equation completely if they haven't already. (Now if the power of Tom can bring them back to life that would be magic!) I can however blame a mid-life crisis on that silly thought as well. I feel bad for guys though. Mid-life hits them especially hard and Tommy at 31 is not quite there yet. I'm just hoping he's a late bloomer and by the time his mid-life crisis creeps up on him he'll be able to handle it. (See what I did! I turned this convo back on topic!)

Well, I can safely say that biologically at 39 I'll not be having that time of the month on a regular basis, so you don't need to worry. Really sucks though because I've never had children and any man that falls in love with me will have to accept that it might take a lot for me to conceive a child without the miracle of science. But that's neither here nor there though. You guys don't want to hear about my Middle agedness.

I'm currently living with my mom, helping her out with money as I'm employed, and assisting her with my male, thirteen year old nephew. Really looking forward to the Stark/Loki scene I have a feeling that could be one of the standout non action scenes in this movie, I get the sense there's a lot more to it than we've seen ending with Loki throwing Stark out the window. Also looking forward to Loki Vs. Thor 2!

I agree as well .. I think Loki will know a great deal about the avengers, he will know how strong the hulk is so he will have a plan to deal with him. I think it will be just as much as a mental battle than it is a phyiscal one. I think Loki will get inside bruces head playing with the idea that he is a monster and how he will always be viewed as one and how he will never be able to truly fit in with humanity.

If there is one thing Loki is good at its head games he will play with the minds of every avenger I bet.

I so cannot wait to see Loki vs Stark, Loki vs Captain America and Loki vs Black Widow... I really hope her confrontation with him is just as good as the others.

I may comment on toms looks once and a while but again as I said before its all in good fun .... I love having the converstaions and thay are good and insightful and as someone said everyone is respectful. If someone posts omg tom is hot .. nobody has a problem with it or if they post about their opinon good or bad about Loki thats cool too. I find these boards are like this in general everyone here has been great in my opinon ..

One shot from the trailers that sort of makes me think he possibly could be under Loki's control is Black Widow running in terror from Hulk in what looks to be the Helicarrier. Not sure if he's gone berserk or he's actually protecting her from an explosion, but having him not in control of himself there could make sense. We've also seen a shot of CA firing a gun in a Helicarrier-type setting, which makes me think it's somehow connected to BW running from Hulk.

With as much intelligence as Loki has to back up his other gifts, these people should be informed that Loki won't let Hulk treat him like a punching bag for the whole fight. He'll obviously think of a way to get the upper hand.
