Well, I've never met any Indians, but given the many tribes, maybe some did speak that way. Long as he doesn't say "how".

And most Americans are at least part Indian (whether they realize it or not).

Though this is basically "redface".

You don't say... :o

Teh meh. Everything about this movie screams "5/10" to me. And people want Gore Verbinski for Star Wars...

Gore's a director of spectacle with an uneven filmography. When he's good, he's good. Otherwise, he's blah.

I hope we're getting 'Pirates 1/Rango' Gore with this one..

As we reported last night, The Lone Ranger will be getting a 90 second TV spot during the pre-game show of the Super Bowl this Sunday. Below, you'll find a tease for the full spot (via Yahoo Movies) as well as the new poster for the film.

From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films' The Lone Ranger, a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter co-star.

That poster says everything about this movie. Hammer can't even get a full body shot.

They aren't even trying with this.

Lol way to subtly/not so subtly give the co star the finger. Not only is it a pretty crappy way to treat Hammer but it makes the poster look like ****.

I'll watch it but they could have used any number of DVD covers or comic book covers as inspiration for the poster art.

The Legend of the One Armed Ranger.....

i like that the poster looks like an oldscchool painting. i hope more superhero movies would have posters with a filter .

Hammer's playing the main character and his name isn't even first. Lmao

.... And this just came to me. Why is he called the Lone Ranger if he has a sidekick?

LOL!

That is so sad. Guess they thought the poster needed more Depp-th.

From a design perspective your eye is automatically draw to Depp. I get it that he's the bigger actor of the two but seriously it's disrespectful to Hammer to be cut off like that.

Because he was with a GROUP of Texas Rangers who were ambushed and killed....he went out as the "lone" ranger to exact revenge. Tonto is not a Texas Ranger....so it is the LONE Ranger and Tonto.

Oh, makes sense.

To be fair, his name is Armie Hammer, not Armsie Hammer...

If he wanted both arms on that poster, he should've changed his name. :o

You're right, clearly it's his fault.

He had it coming. :o

I honestly wonder what the percentage of the public out there think that Depp is actually playing the lone ranger?

I'd say it's probably pretty high among the teen to early 20's demo.

I wouldn't doubt it if they just saw the poster. Haven't seen the trailer recently, but I think I recall it being pretty straightforward on which one the Lone Ranger is.
