Not to mention that hardly anyone under 30 even knows who The Lone Ranger is.
Depends how people respond to them this summer and if either stand out in their big breakout movies. I assume Cavill has the bigger chance at making a name for himself.
Didn't work for Taylor Kitsch though and he had 2 shots in one summer.
Stuff like that doesn't really matter.
If the movie works, people will know. Iron Man was a C-list superhero to most, nobody but comic book fanatics knew who he was but one little movie changed all that around.
Didn't see that coming. - http://forums.superherohype.com/showpost.php?p=22323711&postcount=412Woman -Johnny Depp and his partner
They might as well name the movie that
Yeah, Depp is in a position to overshadow him like he did Mia in Wonderland.
I don't know anyone personally who knows who Armie Hammer is. Anyone who thinks Armie should or could have gotten top billing is fooling themselves. After this movie if it does well, then yeah, he could get top billing on a future project, but not here. Being one of the Winklevos (sp?) twins in a David Fincher film staring Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg doesn't award you living room name status.
Nobody knows, and really still don't, know who Chris Pine is, but he did incredibly well for himself in Star Trek.
To most people Armie Hammer is that guy who makes baking soda.
This is what always pops into my head, and I still can't believe A) that's the name he chose to use, or B) his parents actually named him that. Sounds so unbelievably fake... (though I still want to see the guy play Batman some day, perhaps after a bit more life-experience. Like, the reboot after the reboot)

His name is actually Armand, like his grandfather, who actually had ties to and owned the majority of Arm & Hammer's stock back in his day. That's actually on his birth certificate. It's funny. "Armie" Hammer already reminds people of baking soda, but if he went by Armand Hammer, his name would literally be one and the same with the damn baking soda.
