My mom really likes that movie. I think I bought her the dvd a few years back
I have not worn sneakers in so many years, and haven't considered getting myself a new one.Any of you guys wear Adidas Laceless Ultra Boosts? Thinking of snagging a pair, but don't know sizing. Not enough stock in stores to try them on myself either.

That price *shivers*. If only these shoes would last nicely over a decade, but that seems unlikely based on my experience with their shoes.I have a problem, man. I dropped nearly $900 on a pair of Yeezys last year. I'd have way more sneakers if I weren't so indecisive. Been looking at these Ultra Boosts for like 3 or 4 months now.

Is that US currency?
I've had the same $100 pair of nikes for 8 years.
For $900 there are a lot of things I would buy. A new UHD TV among them and I'd probably still have some cash left over.![]()
I have a pair of Reebok cross trainers from 1994. Still in great condition, because I only use them for indoor gym stuff.
That's a good question. I'm still looking for the answer to that. Why on earth did the phrase "there are many ways to skin a cat" became a thing?

It comes from a long time ago when hunters would skin and cut up their catch to sell at market....sometimes people would catch and sell cats claiming they were other small game. Why on earth did the phrase "there are many ways to skin a cat" became a thing?
I have collected a lot of various things in my lifetime....never even came close to $900 for any of it.At that point in my life, the shoes were the only thing I really wanted. Now, I'd probably fly to Tokyo or something.
Ever hear the saying DON'T LET THE CAT OUT OF THE BAG.....that's from the guys who tried selling cats and not skinning them first.Poor cats.

That's cool. Never heard the navy connection before. The country folk around here talk about people trying to sneak cats in as raccoons or such. I've had a bunch of acquaintences from the Smokey Mountains talk about hat. That's just one of the origin stories for that idiom. Another says it originated in the British Navy. When a sailor did something wrong they'd be whipped with a cat o' nine. So sailors would say "Dont let the cat out of the bag."
Where Did the Expression "Let the Cat Out of the Bag" Come From?
