I hate beer, but have to drink it for social reasons. I hate the taste, hate the bloated feeling it gives you, hate the calorie count, hate that it makes me go to the bathroom every 5 minutes, hate its smell when it's stale. I much prefer Jack and coke... or OJ and vodka. Mixed drinks are my shizz.

ditto. I've tried hard to like beer... but i can only stomach Heiniken, and Shiner Bach. Give me Vodka and OJ, Cranberry, and most other juices and i'm good.. jack and coke is pretty good too

So we're agreed? Cocktails are amazing.

I confess that I've never drank any kind of alcohol, and I don't plan to anytime soon. And yes, I'm over the legal age.

It's not such a bad thing to play it safe. You don't have to drink excessively to have a good time though. Sometimes I just like to get a little buzz.

I'm over drinking to get drunk. Did a whoooooole lot of that in my earlier days. Now I just like to have a few drinks to socialize and get a little buzz. (Although it will happen from time to time but very seldom these days.) So yeah, only top shelf for me.

I haven't drank beer in months. The closest alcohol you can get to being paleo is tequila, so that's my drink of choice now. Before that, I still drink that much beer; one or two after dinner when out with friends for the taste. Haven't drank beer when partying in a looooong time. I like Mexican beers (love Dos Equis) and lagers. I HATE ales. Way too bitter. So gross.

Dos Equis is delicious, but it's hilarious how my Mexican friends (who live in Mexico and come up to work for the summer,) hate it. Apparently most people in Mexico do. And I prefer lagers as well. YuengLing! Pennsylvania, *****es!

But I don't drink all that much. And it's not usually beer when I do. I much prefer whiskey. I'm a manly man, see! :cmad:

I've become a beer snob as of late. I won't touch anything under 7% ABV. When it comes to liquor; I prefer vodka b/c it's low-calorie and whiskey/bourbon cuz it makes me feel sophisticated.

Never again will Coors, Bud, Rolling Rock, Miller, etc touch my lips

We may be the same person.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who hates beer. The way my friends act I thought I was the last of my kind.

I confess that I'm very excited about the possibility of having my first non-retail job. I've been in retail for the past 6 years... And while I know the industry like the back of my hand and I could stay at my current store and work my way up effortlessly, the cons outweigh the pros by a mile.

A friend of mine has been trying to get me in where he works... I just have to take an 8 hour class to receive the necessary certification and wait. Unfortunately, I'm 3rd in line for this particular position, but I called the boss yesterday and he told me to drop by Thursday so we could speak face to face and show me around the warehouse.

I hate beer. I love "Sex On The Beach", oddly enough the first time I had it was while I was at a gay bar. tehehehe

I went to a gay bar once... Had to pay 12 bucks to get in and every drink was ridiculously overpriced.

The gay bar here was a 5 dollar door fee and 1 dollar for all you can drink.

The entire night.

All you beer haters probably haven't tried too many types. And I don't mean brands. I was pretty apathetic towards beer until I started experimenting with bocks, tripels, porters, stouts, etc. Even the damn glass you drink it from can enhance the taste. You have to drink it at the right temperature too. Waaaay more to it than just buying a 6 pack of your typical American pisswater. If you guys have the opportunity to go to an Oktoberfest, go for it and let Germany rock your tongue off.

Yea, European beer is what it's all about. I've had this beer from Germany that had a hint of banana to it once. Was beautiful.

Heck yeah. I don't wanna give off the vibe that all American beer sucks, most if my fav breweries are here. It just not the stuff you can buy by the case.

Also, there's a reason Coors and those guys want you to drink your beer ice cold. Cold numbs tastebuds so you can chug more crappy beer. Yay! Get a good beer and let it warm up a bit

Gay Bars in the Bay Area a a lot different. I'm not sure why more straight people don't go to them. I went in there and every girl was scantily clad, more so than usual. All because it was a gay bar so they didn't have to worry about guys being all over them.

But yeah, I'll never go to that particular bar ever again. Way to expensive, the music sucked, and it was hotter than balls. I will say that I've never been in a bar with a more immaculate bathroom or so many places for you to sit.

The one here in town was pretty well diverse. There were a few straight, gay, bi, lesbian, and even some transexuals there when I went. Everyone got along and all we did was just keep the alcohol flowing and the dance floor packed.

I go to a gay bar here to watch the drag shows. I'm not into it sexually, but these people that are in it are some of the funniest people I've seen. They pretty much do an entire stand up routine in drag and about dressing in drag.

Damn. Apparently I need to get myself to a gay bar.
