Matt, they made you a moderator! I can only imagine the gnashing of teeth at the Superman boards! :)

Haha, I actually haven't done much work over there. I let C.Lee fight that never ending battle :cwink:

Definitely. I think Bob Kane would approve.

Did anyone else get a BTAS feel from the rocket lanucher clip. Joker fires the thing and then recoils and winces, almost like he didn't know how much power it would have and he bit off more than he could chew.

Reminds me of the BTAS Joker doing way more damage than he intended and just smiling and saying "Woops!"

I thought the exact same thing! I love the expression on his face, it's very animated-like.

I'm really not crazy about Ledger's portrayl of the Joker. They seem to have gotten the sociopath characterization right, but I also feel Ledger's Joker is a bit too dry. It seems like they wanted to get so far away from Jack's over-the-top Joker that they took all of the clown out of him and made him into a poor man's Two-Face who laughs too much.

"WHY SO SERIOUS ?":hoboj:

Your opinion couldn't be more further from the truth. I kid you not. :woot:

Ledger FTW!!

I'm actually glad Nolan made the Joker how he is. I wouldn't want him to be a copy of Jack's Joker, so I'm glad they took their own approach, and are creating a monster out of this Batman Begins saga. It spices things up and makes things appear more real. Personally, I'm liking Nolan's and Ledger's Joker more than Jack's.

Care to back that up or would you rather make more useless posts. And for the record, you are banned from saying I Kid You Not under the penalty of banning. You haven't earned that right. :ikyn :cwink:

Oh, I definitely don't want a clone of Jack's, Joker. At the same time, I don't want a Joker who is void of what makes him the Joker. His sense of humor.

Matt, you have become my least favorite mod.:csad:

Aww, come now. We're all allowed our own opinions. Like I said, I could very well be wrong as my impression is based on 30 seconds in a 2 minute trailer. I'm just giving my initial thoughts/concerns.

I suppose that's fair.

They would be slaughtering you like wounded cattle right now if you weren't a mod. No one dare say anything against the trailer or Joker! I say I don't like the look and a pac of wolves tare me apart over in the trailer thread.:whatever:

We'll see when the movie comes out.

I feel that Ledger's Joker will have a great sense of humor, be it more sadistic or sick to the audience, it will be his sense of humor.

This Joker, Ledger's, seems more into the action of things, which I love. I'm not saying prievous Joker's weren't, but seeing it on film is awesome. Him firing the tommy gun at Batman, launching the rocket, and what looks to be knifing people, looks great.

I don't think he'll be void of his sense of humour, he just won't be as silly or campy as Romero/Nicholson. They have already said many, many times in the past that he is heavily being based off of his first two appearances. He wasn't as silly and full of jokes in those first appearances. From what we've all seen in the trailer, I think he still will have some humour to his personality.

Like that scene where he is laughing his ass off while driving the big rig. Remember, what he does or says is usually supposed to only be funny to him and not others(minus us demented Joker fans). :woot: :cwink:

But to address your point, I do think the sense of humor will be intact, one that would be more on the darker side. I thought there was a bit of humor in the "You've got a little fight in you, I like that" line, as well as the high pitched "Like Me" proceeding this talk about Batman being lost into a world of freaks. And the laugh was great I think the characterization is coming off very nicely, I only wanted him to look a little more vibrant.

I hate when they start attacking for just naming one thing or two that you dislike. I appreciate it. You've always been my second favorite mod:oldrazz:

Well, I hope you guys are right. I can see what you guys are saying, but too me, the events you described are pretty much just scratching the surface of the Joker's potential. I hope the movie goes a bit more indepth in it than the trailer implies.

Although I love this darker side of him that we haven't gotten on screen before(to this level at least). I also hope it goes a bit more indepth with his humour. Hopefully, there just saving some of the really good stuff for when you see the movie.

I hope they don't spoil too much when the release a full trailer in the next 3-5 months.

Well, if the movie came out R-rated, I think we would be able to dip really deep into the Joker's potential. And Batman's.

Hehe thanks  And as do I. Nothing is worse than an opinion Nazi. If it happens again, let me know.
