I saw the Darkwing, it was pretty nifty. He has some other redesigns, too, that are good. This one, however....eh. Mechanically, it's not bad. But even with the webs, it's more like a redesign of, say, Paladin, than Spider-Man.

Maybe. I just can't see it as Spider-Man. I mean, with a redesign, the idea is to generally take some of the familiar elements and present them in a different manner. There is nothing that says "THIS IS SPIDER-MAN!!" to me there. He's missing the eyes. A spider. Webs [that piping on his costume is not web--sorry].

Well, the "eyes", since they're connected, come of to me more like a visor, which isn't really Spider-Man. And the webs look more like random piping than webs.

But yeah.

im critic-ing more then making fun of... as an artist you have to learn to be told when something looks off or funny if you want to get better....

Fair enough, well you didnt have to be so rude about it.
A critique is meant to help improve on what has been submitted, all your comment did was bring my dwindling confidence with my drawing skills down.

sorry if i hurt your confidence. but that's in the eyes of the one getting critiqued. i'm an art major and use to far harsher critiques. You have to channel the stern or most blatant critiques as ways to get better. try working on a hard project for 3 weeks straight, and then the teacher not getting it at all and ripping it apart. It's hard not viewing your art at times as sooo personal you can't handle anything negative said about it. but it's definately something you have to learn fast.
