Marvel Films The Marvel Studios News and Discussion Thread

Speaking of big jump, there is a whole key story missing from end of Captain Marvel and The Marvels. They teased it but it became a few seconds of flash back. How she exacted revenge on Supreme Intelligence, which was portrayed as a pretty powerful being, and how she brought civil war to Hala and its near extinction. It could have been a story with pretty dark serious tone. Instead they needed to push it forward to shoehorn element to create multiverse incursion (and a lot of mumbo jumbo to try make sense of the bangle’s effects/power) and mix it with a TV project, neither of which I feel organic story-wise even the sequel is fine entertainment itself.

Just have the heroes show up and find out all the Kangs are dead. Only Kang Prime is left standing, with new badass robotic suit.

Then Kang Prime turns to the camera, the mask on his robotic suit flips up. The actor playing Kang Prime is revealed to be Terrence Howard. "It's finally 'next time', baby!" he says as he winks to the audience.

They can easily recast the part ,and given that a major aspect of this saga is variants which can look different ( Yes I know about the multiple JM variants at the end of Quantumania), it can easily be done.

His different appearance doesn't even need to be attributed to the multi verse. Mark Ruffalo's Banner and Don Cheadle's Rhodey aren't variants.

Hardly anyone (that I see at least) seems to complain about War Machine totally changing actor and the 2 actors are not even similar (good in different ways IMO).

Boyega is very not intimidating. And imo isn't the greatest actor. He's not bad at all just kinda eh to me.

I would say go with Damson Idris (Snowfall)

or

Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight).

Both criminally underused. Even considering anti black biases I don't get why these guys don't get major roles outside of streaming/TV. Rhodes is already ripped too so that works.

Or outside the normal suggestion: Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton)

Or they could just retroactively explain all recasts as being the result of fluctuations in the multiverse. Get Norton and/or Howard back for Secret Wars and have a scene where Banner and/or Rhodey flip back to their old actors for awhile as the multiverse gets more unstable.
