There's a little bit of 'Bat-Fan' in all of us...so that could present a problem! :oldrazz:

*stabs Marx in the chest*

Anyone else disagree with me? :cmad:

Or at least kill the newbs who insist on having ridiculous threads about which Joker quotes describe their sex life and the like.

WTF? Seriously? There was a thread about that? I haven't gone near the Bat Forums in ages. ESPECIALLY since the film came out, because I haven't been able to go see it yet and I don't want it spoiled for me.

In other news: The Republican Party continues to be two years too late in their satirical leanings. Maybe next week they'll have a faux-"Pirates of the Caribbean" trailer portraying Obama as a measly pirate who hopes to double-cross the American tax payer.
Don't give them any ideals. :csad:

Unfortunately, yes there is. It actually has quite a lot of posts in it if I remember correctly. :whatever:

With a two month old baby in the house, trying to find time to yourself just to poop is a major victory let alone getting out to see a movie.

There is a theater near me that has exclusive showings for new parents. From what I hear, they do quite well. :yay:

I bet they do. We don't have that here. :( Thankfully, Grandma has agreed to a dump and run in the near future so wifey and I can get a break and go see TDK.

I'm not sure how popular they are across the country...the one near me was the first I had ever heard of such a thing.

How does that work? Do they have their own nursery or something?

No. It's just like any other theater, but they have set aside times for new parents. You can bring your child with you into the movie. The settings are toned down, considering how loud movies can get. Last I heard, they were doing well. I haven't been to that theater in quite some time though, so I don't know if it's still being offered.

But even with toned down settings, I can't think of many parents who would want to bring their baby to The Dark Knight.

It's no different than sitting in front of a really big tv though. (With the way the settings are.)

Really big TVs don't always show a morbidly grotesque clown.

But if your child is only a matter of months old, they won't even know where they're at. Let alone what is on the screen! :cwink:

I don't know, little children cry at the squish of their own feces, so I would imagine that a cackling, scarred clown who beats the crap out of a bunch of barking dogs and mocks an electrocution in a deranged manner would leave some sort of impact on him.

Many theatres have what they all "cry rooms"....the rooms are sound proof, you can still see the movie and hear it through speakers in the room, but your crying baby can't be heard except by those in the "cry room". They work really well. Alot of churches have them as well.

That sounds like a Hellish experience. I'd rather pawn my kid off on Grandma for a few hours or wait for a film to come out on DVD than experience being locked in a glass box with a bunch of screaming children, even if one of them is my own!

I've taken my friends little one in there before. The sound is turned down quite a bit, and most of the time the little tots quiet down very quickly because the parents can fumble around in the diaper bag, get what they need and quiet the child much quicker than if they were in the theatre itself. It's at the back of theatre, its well vented, people don't change their babies in there, they take them to the bathroom. NOR, do women breast feed in there, yikes. But they can feed their babies, etc....and quiet them down. More than not, they are back in the threatre within minutes. I've never seen more than 2 babies in a room at once.

So has Methuselah mentioned anything about those tax hikes lately?
