It turns out McCain was told JTP was gonna be there, or actually he never got the memo that JTP wasn't going to be there so that wasn't his fault. Still makes him look old and crazy though.

And further goes to show how unorganized the campaign is.

What is it with McCain embarrassing himself onstage? Seems to be happening a lot during this campaign. Here's his latest gaffe:

This was Jon Stewart's "moment of zen" tonight. :lmao:

What the hell is with McCain's campaign? Every time they try to tie Obama to someone of supposed questionability it either comes out that McCain has just as strong, if not stronger, ties to that person or has other connections with someone even more questionable that get raised as a result. It's like watching someone commit seppuku over and over again.

Here's a possible answer. (McCain's fans won't like it.)

Palin knows the campaign is doomed and is positioning herself for 2012. Her people knew the Khalidi story had been sat on by McCain when it came out last April. Finding out why, that McCain had given money to the man's causes, Palin used it.

Someting McCain and his people wanted kept quiet. McCain did the only thing he could think of, run with it and hope he could change the subject to something else and let Khalidi get lost in the shuffle.

Did not happen. In fact, if CNN had been on the ball, Larry King could have pointed out McCain had paid this guy hundreds of thousands of dollars right to McCain's face.

However, Palin's goal is to make sure SHE isn't considered the reason the Republicans lost. She'll have to deal with Huckabee to get the full support of the evangicals, but that's a job for later.

Separated at birth?

Actually, that's what McCain looked like in the sixties...

Oh, I totally agree with you. But McCain's done it to himself quite a bit as well. One moment he's at a rally crying "Obama's a socialist!" and the next he's in an interview saying "Obama's not a socialist.". Make up your mind you senile old coot!

If McCain did sit on the story because of the money, that was stupid. McCain did not personally give the organization money, and it was given to the part of Khalidi's organization that was to help promote democratic elections...so if that was why, then McCain's campaign is chicken ****, and they don't deserve to win.

More or less sums up what I think of McCain. Shockingly from Fox too.

I'm going to vote for a real American- John McCain
- Sam Wurzelbacher, a.ka. Joe The Plumber

I for one can't wait for this election to be over just so we can stop hearing about this goober who owes $1200 in backtaxes and isn't even a licensed plumber and thus is in no position to be worrying about buying a small business in the first place.

John McCain, a real American president for 'real America'.

Maybe they're building up for 'real America/American' to be the hotword next week? We need to start taking bets. It's McCain's last week to insult US intelligence, insult Obama, and claim half of America isn't even real, he's got to pull out a doozy :).

I'm going all in with Obama being Zenu (however you spell it), to pull in the Scientology votes. Tom Cruise, Will Smith, and John Travolta will campaign for him.

"real americans" pay their taxes and don't ****ing whine about it every second of the day. we're a society. we look out for each other because a healthy society is good for everyone. that's not socialist, it's common sense.

Unlike Joe the Plumber, who owes Ohio $1,200 in backtaxes?

A man, who with the accolades of many wealthy McCain backers, COULD buy that buisness right now. Instead he's going after a country music career.
