She got probation because she has to submit herself to a mental clinic or something like that

This is from a recent rally in Columbus, Ohio:

Pretty embarrassing. I would think that arena doesn't hold any more than 20,000 people and he doesn't even have it anywhere near half-full.

McCain said that Obama want to punish the wealth by increasing their taxes. If that is the case then the Middle class have been punished for the past 30+ years.

I say its about time.

I've had two "Robo-Calls" from the McCain camp in the last two days. One of them was Hank Jr calling for McCain. I hung up on both of them.:hehe:

I find it funny that McCain is fighting for votes here in W.Va.{The RedNeck capital of the world.} against a black man. Amazing, It makes me almost proud to live here.:woot:
LOL Make that Three robo-calls, just had another alittle while ago.

Now I hear McCain is fighting for votes in his home state. This is getting sad. :hehe:

Arizona is becoming more and more Democratic. Had McCain been from a different state, I believe Obama would be ahead in Arizona by a margin comparable to his leads in Colorado and New Mexico. It is no surprise that the race has tightened up there, and that Napolitano-- who is more popular than Sarah Palin is in Alaska right now-- is leading McCain in a prospective 2010 Senate match.

The wealthy meaning, those with a little above average income, have to pay 94.5 % of their income. The others pay only 5.5 % of their income for tax. So stop whining.

What would you suggest? A liberal blog? CNN?

How about a news source which actually, I don't know-- reports factual information instead of throwing out an absurd claim such as high income households will have to pay a 94% income tax?

I don't care what side of the aisle you're on, but you would have to be downright foolish to believe that a man who proposed a 94% income tax would be so far ahead in the polls right now, and that John McCain would have remained silent on that point throughout this campaign.

Barely, considering you are posting yet another opinion piece. However, that diary does not claim that the wealthy will pay a 94% income tax like you claimed earlier. It claims that the top 1% of income earners will pay the most taxes, which is how it should be considering those at the top collectively "earn" more than those in the middle class income bracket.

The top 50% will account for 97% of all federal income taxes, while the bottom 50% will have paid just 3%.

Stripped right from there buddy.

How it should be? When the rich can no longer afford to pay taxes, there will be no more rich.

I can't tell you where it originated from, no. But this image has been around and used by various news sources since July, and has been posted here repeatedly by different users.

Then how do you know that is reliable source? Because others have used it?:whatever:

That doesn't say that each person who makes above $2.8 million will be paying a 94% income tax-- meaning they give away 94% of their income to taxes. That was the claim you made, and you disproved yourself with that article.

As for what the article actually says... considering the top 50% make more COLLECTIVELY than those in the bottom 50%, it makes perfect sense for them to pay more in taxes. They have the extra money to throw away.

It's hard for me to feel sorry for the CEO worth $40 million when my own family, which makes a combined $75k, can't afford groceries because they have to worry about car and mortgage payments which have been affected severely by the financial crisis. Sorry the poor CEO can't buy his Maserati or Miami Penthouse, but I'm sure if he acts like most middle class families, he can learn to put a little extra away and maybe one day he'll be able to buy all those luxury goods he wishes he can have now.
