Batman '89 The Michael Keaton Appreciation Thread

They all both acted well, despite me prefering Bale more than Keaton. Keaton will always have a place in my heart for enjoying seeing his Batman the first time Batman89 opened in theater when I was like 11. :)

I think Keaton & Bale are on same level. You were lucky I was 6 when Batman 89 came out and my parents didn't take me to see it.

I was 6 when BF came out, so guess both batflicks I saw when I was a kid...poor me...lol

At least, we can celebrate again with the Nolan franchise. And Michael Keaton is teh dark coolness!

yep same here, i only the schumacher films. but i dont remmeber "hating" them back then, only when i got older. but ya know, i dont REALLY hate them, because they are stuck with me and my childhoof memories, especially Forever, so they may be dumb, but i still dont mind them.

you mean you don't mind "it"...I mean, you CAN deny B&R quite easily, don't you?
hehe, welcome to the real world

And the Schumacher films had a great lack in Keaton fibers : Eat floor, high fibers!

Batman Forever wasnt tha bad if it was more serious an this psychadelic it could have been a contender i like the way Kilmers wayne explains why he is still batman.

Anyone see "The Company?" It's an HBO miniseries about the CIA with Keaton, Alfred Molina, and Chris O'Donnel. I saw it at Blockbuster but have no money...thoughts?

Check this out!

Brings back so many good memories. I'm about to go watch this movie right now.

I think Keaton and Bale are the same (brilliant that is)
I think Kilmer played a good bruce Wayne (not batman)
but the rest of the film was crap
they raped Two Face

Sad but true...:csad:

They also raped TLJ when you think of it, actor was directed poorly

Yeah. Jones is a great actor & I was interest when I heard he was announced to play TF. But sadly, they made him so campy & act terrible. If Nolan did BF, Jones would show a real twisted & sinister TF like he should've been.

Man, Keaton's portrayal of batman has easily been the scariest. Just look at the way he looks in costume, he looks like a freakin' beast.

Keaton's Batman is cooler and more calculating. His Bruce Wayne is more intelligent, charming and mysterious.

Bale's Batman is more badass and angrier. His Bruce Wayne is more relatable, funnier, more heroic, and has more depth.

My preference changes from time to time. Right now I'm liking Bale more.

I no where your coming from they both play different bruce Wayne's and different Batmans.
both equal in my mind

This thread isn't for comparing the two. Only discussing Keaton.

Yeah you got to "appreciate" Michael Keaton not compare...

And that's proved to actually be the limo he ordered how? There's no evidence.

And Google, shut your dumb ass up. It's not inevitable. It's only inevitable to untrue fans like yourself who don't know jack about Batman and insult the character by being dumb (or stubborn) enough to only like one interpretation.

I don't want you posting in this thread. You always bring trouble whereever you go, because you're ignorant. Your signature confirms it. You're no Batman fan, and you give Burtonites a bad name. There's not a person on this board who likes you.

Please comment the new Joker pic :whatever:

:woot:

No, there is indeed a new pic.

I like it much better than Heath's first released picture.

I really don't have a big problem with Heath's appearance. Sure, I'm not a fan of the scars and I'd prefur a more refined, prettied-up Joker, but he's close enough (assuming he doesn't apply makeup on himself to look like the Joker...) visually, and the web campaigns sure seem to be pinning his personality correctly. I just hope they don't lose the clown. Because if there's not enough clown in the Joker, he's just Mr. Zsasz with makeup. Nicholson struck the perfect balance, I only hope Heath and Nolan up the psycho just a tad and take advantage of Heath's youth in preportion to Nicholson. So essentially, give us a Mark Hammil "flashback Joker" from Return of the Joker.

But back on topic. :oldrazz:
