It's time for a change in the Spider-Man movies. Off with Maguire, off with Dunst, off with Raimi. You had a pretty darn good run, but there are other incarnations of Peter Parker / Spider-Man out there in the comics history other than being a puss ass all the time and having an unsarcastic Spider-Man.

I personally believe, this guy has Peter Parker written all over him. No brokeback mountain Jake Gyllanhaul, no weary eyed beaten up face Joseph Levitt whoever, this guy has the look, and I think he can pull off the more confident wise ass Peter Parker / Spider-Man that its time for.

Anyone agree...?

Hmmm i'll admit....hes not a bad choice..I could definilty see him in the role. Plus hes a lot better choice than someone like Shia LaBeouf

Not if they recast.

But people are right. He isn't the best actor. But he's one of two actors at all that I've seen that have the right look to play an adult Peter Parker, the other one being Gyllenhaal, who still has to be considered to obvious choice for the role.

I mean, if they bring in a good director, and recast Peter and MJ with Gyllenhaal and MEW, then that's a cast I can be even more excited about than Tobey and Kirsten.

I don't think so. You can't make the characters younger. It'll mess with the pre-established character arcs. And plus, someone who looks like they're in high school, getting married (which I'm pretty sure would happen), would be too weird.

They need to show Peter moving into adulthood.

All these actors (other than Jake G) that fans have come up with are bad actors. Especially Scott M. Just because they're handosme doesn't mean they should play Peter Parker. Honeslty, if SM4 has a recast it's a shame Topher Grace is out of the running now.

I had the same thought. I think that, if he hadn't already done Venom, Topher would be my #1 or #2 choice to replace Tobey Maguire.

In pre-spider-bite high school days but not now. Peter Parker in college is supposed to look quite fit. Now, thats not to say ne neds to be jacked and ripped like the freakin' hulk though. Parker has a slender, well toned and defined body.

I cried for the entre day the moment it was announced here that Grace was cast as Brock because that meant he couldn't replace Maguire.
