One will be Knull played by Norman Reedus and the other will be the exact same thing but Knull is played by Andy Serkis. Which ever gets leaked more is the true ending.

I even saw a rumour that Keanu was playing Knull!

Everyone is playing him! :o

So in totally random news, I watched Fantastic Four Rise or the Silver Surfer for the first time since theater in 2007. I was so crushingly disappointed with that movie back then i never looked back. Now watching it with all this time removed….it wasn’t bad!

I mean, look, make no mistake, this isnt a “good” movie but theres charm to it. The actors have good chemistry, the suits look good, the silver surfer scenes are good, some of the action scenes are pretty solid…there was effort behind this.

Its still a silly movie with an underwhelming Doctor Doom and they completely dropped the ball with Galactus and the build up to him. But its a breezy film that i feel works as a light pick me up.
I hate Doctor Doom and Galactus in those movies, but I don't think they're perse bad. They're more mediocre and unremarkable. Extremely average. Like 2 or 2.5 out of 5 kind of movies

We just have differing views homie because I'll end up derailing the thread.

All I'm saying is, in my opinion, a black Brit can't portray a black American from Brooklyn or Atlanta or Houston without it coming across as disingenuous. Same as if you have a black American trying to do a role of a black Brit from Leeds or Tottenham. We're not monolithic or interchangeable.

But again, that's just my take.

From an Guardian interview with Idris Elba regarding his casting as Stringer Bell on The Wire:

The whole time he lived there he spoke in an American accent. “All the time,” he nods, sipping his tonic water. “David Simon had no clue until the last audition.” Simon even had a bet going with his producer. “At the last audition, the producer asked me: ‘Where are you really from?’ I said: ‘East London’ and the room erupted. David lost the bet. And he said: ‘OK, I’m gonna give you the job because you had me fooled’.”

Man the comments in that thread are brutal. People were really burned by WW84.

I dunno, even though i AGREE starting fresh was the right call i dont think Patty and Gal should have been burned at the stake for one misfire. WW84 was no Joker 2. I think WW84 was Patty's passion project that she got out of her system. I would have liked to see her and Gal make one more to close out the trilogy. She could have delivered a banger third WW movie but oh well.

Anyone who likes a movie most people didn't like, they're going to say people didn't get it. That's every movie. Whether it's Joker 2, BvS, Megalopolis, Madame Web, Speed 2 Cruise Control, whatever. That's just how it's always going to go
See, there's a point with that one though - unlike those other ones. A lot of people miss the brilliant subtext in the scene where she returns to the Amazon, where her mother was studying spiders right before she died, and the guy says "When you take responsibility, great power will follow." You see, a lot of people don't catch it, but it's kinda like that thing Uncle Ben says.

You know what's crazy is Pedro Pascal was the only actor in that movie who got out unscathed and became an even bigger star post-WW84.

Is it bad that I.... liked WW84? :csad:

I dont think it hurt Chris Pine. Creepy body swap plot or not. He's doing fine

Don't Worry Darling, Wish, Poolman, & a couple of direct-to-streaming movies all failed in some way whether it was critics or box office.

The D&D movie was also a box office failure despite the fans loving it.

Yeah, but at the same time I don't think any of those really hurt him at this point. I think he's largely just going to do whatever he wants regardless still

Yeah but my point is unlike Pedro his stardom didn't go up after WW84, it went kinda down.

It had a few moments. I personally liked the beginning with young Diana running the gauntlet on Themyscira and Pedro Pascal was great in it too. To me it's almost as much of a chore to get through as Joker 2 but at least WW84 has more going on in it.
