@Drizzle @Shinobi Shaw

I don't think I've been this interested in baseball since the Subway series like 20 years ago.

I am rooting for the Metropolitans quietly until they make it to the World Series, I don't wanna count chickens and all that.

But they're looking damn good. :don'tcry:

Get ready nerds.

So in totally random news, I watched Fantastic Four Rise or the Silver Surfer for the first time since theater in 2007. I was so crushingly disappointed with that movie back then i never looked back. Now watching it with all this time removed….it wasn’t bad!

I mean, look, make no mistake, this isnt a “good” movie but theres charm to it. The actors have good chemistry, the suits look good, the silver surfer scenes are good, some of the action scenes are pretty solid…there was effort behind this.

Its still a silly movie with an underwhelming Doctor Doom and they completely dropped the ball with Galactus and the build up to him. But its a breezy film that i feel works as a light pick me up.

Yeah. I had no original disappointment because I've never really liked the F4 in general and I didn't see the movie until a decade after it came out, but it's actually a decent middle of the road CBM. Easily better (certainly far less annoying) than all the other F4 movies. McMahon is still terrible casting, but he's at least a little more believable as Doom in this one. And the Super-Skrull inspired fight sequence is genuinely good.

Is it bad that I.... liked WW84? :csad:

I love WW84.

I know I sound like a broken record but I really want more content in the Reeves-Verse. It's what I really, really want :oldrazz:

In all seriousness, The Batman is one of my favourite CBMs of the modern era, and The Penguin is one of my favourite TV shows, up there with Daredevil S1 and Jessica Jones S1. I know that Gunn and Safran likely don't want two DCU Batman franchises running concurrently but I'll spend as much time in the Reeves-Verse as I can...

I'm waiting on pins and needles for any news about more content in this universe after The Batman Part II...

Casting alone means this has no shot. And Voltron would've already had a long uphill battle.

Legendary Defender was a big hit. I wouldn't say it had a big uphill battle, especially on the casting front. The issues within the Legendary Defender fandom, and how it ended, is something a bit more of an issue. Whoever Cavill is being cast as, it is not Lance or Keith, who the fandom are going to be very, very focused on.

Though, it will be hilarious to see him Witcher grumble his way through the role if he is Zarkon.

Nah, SM3 sucked
wasted Gwen, Topher-Venom, Franco's terrible acting, all that not to mention the dance scene and emo-Tobey
Sandman was the only saving grace, and even then, tying him to Uncle Ben's death was lame

I'd watch almost every MCU movie over SM3 any day of the week
Now [non-batman] DC, or Sony's SPUMC output? Yeah I'll watch Tobey dance before rewatching most of those
Same here. If I never see it again I could die happy, lol.

The ONE thing is they dont do in this Green Lantern show is that annoying trope that seems to be trendy for some reason these days where the hero doesnt get the costume until the final episode. I do not wanna wait 8-10 episodes to see Pierre sporting the ring and suit.

You know what's crazy is Pedro Pascal was the only actor in that movie who got out unscathed and became an even bigger star post-WW84.

I dont think it hurt Chris Pine. Creepy body swap plot or not. He's doing fine
I mean Dungeons and Dragons was actually good.

Neato, another thing with the Cavmeister that’ll never get made

Nah, this will happen. It’s being made by Rawdawg Mitchell Flubber or whatever his name is. If you’ve seen Red Notice, you know he specializes in filming an entire movie in front of a green screen. He’ll film this in a weekend.

It was, it just didn't have as big an audience as it should have.
I mean the only people aware of D&D are mostly nerds from the 80's that have aged far out of their target demo. It's like making a Magic: the Gathering movie. Don't expect a huge return when their fandoms are in their 40's. At least the film was good.
