I have to say I’m enjoying Joker 2 imploding at the box office. It takes a special kind of movie to plummet more than 75% in its second weekend.

Terrifier's shtick definitely relishes in being shocking, gross & offensive.

I seen the latest one last night and was laughing hysterically at the absurdity of the opening scene and thought I was going to be able to get in to the rest of it but the violence mostly wore numb & tiresome as it went on.

Made me feel like a softie. Longing for the tamer days of Texas Chainsaw & Evil Dead :whoops:

I am unfamiliar with those movies. I will take yalls word for it.

Gore is gore. I definitely have my limits, but in general it's not something I'm against. My main concern is more intent.

I do think the, "people got sick watching our movie" thing is all time edgelord, I don't want to know you crap.
Gore doesn't bother me as much as cruelty for entertainment. Real life is ugly enough without seeing torture and "the amazing kill of the day" on screen. :(

squeeks, does this mean you're not a Final Destination fan?

Terrifier sounds like something I'd have totally checked out in high school but not so much now. Overly gory horror just bores me more than anything. I feel like the Saw movies kind of broke my brain in that regard but even then I remember being far more grossed out by Hostel and that terrible Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel that immediately followed the 2003 remake.

Saw's an interesting one to me. Always thought the first was good, but didn't keep up with them. Saw a bunch last year and I have to say, the series has a lot more going for it then I realized. I assumed they devolved into Hostel, and maybe some of them did. But the mythos and general idea around why what is happening is happening, is actually halfway decent. Really liked Saw X.

I've only watched the original seven movies but they were compelling enough for me to keep going back. The gore got stale to me after a while but the traps more or less remained inventive. Plus Jigsaw is one of the most interesting horror movie killers, so there's also that.

I honestly don't recall that. But I do remember Leatherface graphically removing that dude's face in the prequel.

It's near the beginning. They pick up the girl and she says her ***** hurts pulls out a gun and shoots herself.

Yeah, without Jigsaw, it would lose a lot.

Speaking of gore how many of y’all watched Substance? Thats another i aint touchin’ with a ten foot pole. I’ve read the descriptions of some scenes yeeesshhh.

I barely remember any of it but to be fair, it's been over 20 years and it's not a good movie. :o
It's the only decent remake in my eyes. :o

Also I like Jessica Biel. Her character in Blade got me into archery.
