I'm pretty sure the Court of Owls will be in The Batman 2 going from the sly tease in The Penguin:



That said, I wouldn't have expected them to be the main/only villains anyway.

Here's the thing, I don't think its an either/or situation. If there is one throughline you can pick up from Reeve's Batverse, is "**** the rich". And really, is the Court anything but the pure encapsulation of the corruption of the rich? And I think there is potential in a Freeze killer going after them.

Part I also had a handful of villians so I can see the second doing the same on top of Penguin and possibly Catwoman being involved. Getting Freeze wouldn't automatically cancel out the use of Hatter or Hugo or whomever.

If Reeves wants to do Freeze with Court of Owls in the background, bring it on. Penguin and Catwoman being involved as supporting characters is a must either way.

I rewatched it recently and I gotta admit, while I do love the first two acts enough to the point where it doesn't diminish my overall enjoyment of the movie I still feel kinda meh about them dragging in other WB-owned and/or public domain villains in the third act. I'd have preferred if they had just kept it to Batman/other DC villains. I don't know, I just feel like if the random villains like Sauron and Voldemort had been saved for The Lego Movie 2, it actually might have improved that forgettable movie instead.

With the advent of indoor plumbing and Ninja products, there are better ways to heat up Lobster.

Lord knows I love lobster. But I digress.
