Speaking of directors, whatever happened to Patty Jenkins, did WW84 just kill her career or something.

I'm still surprised that Marvel and Image never played nice and did a Spawn/Ghost Rider crossover back in the day. That was a ton of 90s antihero money just waiting to be made with Johnny Blaze and Al.
Given it's creator owned, I don't think McFarlane wants to work with Marvel. Since he left he has never worked with Marvel again in any comic capacity since he left. They have licensed toys but I imagine he's dealing with different people/departments for that.

I mean, I am pretty certain the artists that founded Image did not leave Marvel on the best of terms...

Yeah there was a lot of bad blood between them and Marvel in those days. I also remember a lot of the old guard guys liked John Byrne and Peter David ripping the Image guys for their constant late books and attention grabbing.

The early image stuff was such a mixed bag. Some of it was pure edgelord stuff that like Shadowhawk that thought it was much harder than it really was. Spawn at least found a more consistent tone after a while. Valentino’s books were all over the place and made no sense in the end. I don’t even remember how that dumb series ended up. I seem to remember Paul traveling back in time to find a cure for AIDS or something.

Then you had the Wildstorm stuff, which really just felt like Jim Lee trying to create his own X-Men, but I did enjoy a lot of those stories. Much better than Liefield’s awful Youngblood trash.

It was a fun and interesting time to be into comics with all the bickering.

To be fair who hasn’t been given a Star Wars movie to write or direct? What I’m saying is your cousin’s dog still has a chance.

This is why you don't just assume your movie will get a sequel.

The same guy who hired Jessica Alba to play Sue Storm on her looks, so much so that he didn't even want her to cry for real on camera (because it made her look less attractive, I guess)?

Seems like a real piece of work.

Jessica Alba is a self hating Latina. Playing a black woman in Honey and playing a white woman in Fantastic Four. :o

Its time to finally watch Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle (got delayed watching it because watched Superman and F4 first)

Outside in other countries, it was a Superman/F4 summer,
Here...it is Demon Slayer summer 😁
Lets Go!

They can do as many handoffs to new characters and recasts of old actors like suggested for RDJ and Chris Evans in the future…doesn’t mean the mass audience is going to embrace the handoff/recast character as much. Not a new phenomenon. If anything it may be more difficult within the same continuity as opposed to rebooting.
