I do like them.

But yea, we pretty much are on 2 different pages.

Haha, Coldplay. You know how I know you're gay?

JK.
*cracks knuckles* Don't make me come over there and beat you.:woot:
Hey, Coldplay have some darn good tunes, and 'A Rush of Blood...' is an outstanding album. Not just for gays.

LOL.

I don't know, Coldplay just isn't my cup of tea. I find them kind of annoying and weird.

Thank you, Keyser. For the most part. And I only like 1 song from Hall & Oates and 1 from Loverboy. I do like the others though.

I don't own all of those, but the ones in bold I really like. All the others I didn't recognize or didn't like.

And it's good to see someone else like Country Music.

Okay, since a couple of my favorites are not bolded, I'll have to ask if you don't know of them or don't like them:

Arrested Development

Bjork

Garbage

Iron Butterfly

Janis Joplin

Denis Leary

Bob Marley

The Traveling Wilburys

Tom Waits

Ron White

And, honestly... I was shocked how much country was on my list. ;)

Michael Jackson is creepy as hell, but "Thriller" is a classic album and when I was a kid it was one of those things that EVERYBODY owned.

And loser. :p

Eh, I went through a phase. I got rid of most of the worst of it. The stuff I kept is either really good or there's a song on it that I like. LOL.

Arrested Development
If you mean the show, I never cared for it.

Don't like 'em.

I've heard of them, never heard their music though.

Iron Butterfly
Never heard of them.

Janis Joplin
I actually like her. I forgot to bold. :o.

Denis Leary
I like him, never seen his stand-up.

Bob Marley
I like him at times. Not one of my faborites though.

The Traveling Wilburys

Tom Waits

Ron White
Never heard of them.

And, honestly... I was shocked how much country was on my list. ;)
LOL. I used to listen to it ALL THE TIME when I was little. then I stopped. But now I like it again.

Yeah, Thriller's an absolute classic. So many hits on there, hearing a single second of it always makes me jump in excitement. Billy Jean especially.

I think MJ might be my favorite artist of all time, despite his tragic life. :o

Yea, Billie Jean is my favorite on Thriller.

If you mean the show, I never cared for it.

No, no, it's got nothing to do with the show (which I never watched). AD is a group that started in 1992 with the album "3 Years, 5 Months, and 2 Days in the Life of..." They had a couple of hits from that album - Mr. Wendal, People Everyday, Tennessee. They had a song called "Revolution" on the soundtrack to Malcolm X, an MTV Unplugged, and a second album called Zingalamaduni. They broke up after that but re-formed in 1998 to make the album "Heroes of the Harvest," released independently in Japan, and then they got signed by another record company, Pony Canyon, and released "Among the Trees" in 2004 and "Since the Last Time..." in 2006.

What they are is difficult to explain... they're a hip-hop act that tried to steer the genre away from the Gangsta thing in the early 90's, when Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg and all the others were doing their thing... their songs of social and political conscience and the importance of family and honor and taking a stand for the things you believe in didn't play well to the hip-hop crowd and they were constantly under a lot of pressure to change. But they've never changed. Their music is part rap, part reggae, part funk, all cultural celebration.
Don't like 'em.

That's not an "em," it's a her. Some of her newer stuff is not so great, but if you've ever heard "Human Behavior" or "Army of Me," it's great stuff.

I've heard of them, never heard their music though.

Dude, check out "version 2.0" and "Bleed Like Me," those are GREAT albums.
Never heard of them.

But you probably have. You know the song In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida? 17 minutes long? Five-minute drum solo? Granddaddy of heavy metal?
I actually like her. I forgot to bold. :o.

LOL, I feel better now.
I like him, never seen his stand-up.

Really? Dude, you'll laugh your ASS off. Especially "No Cure For Cancer," that is some crazy stuff.
I like him at times. Not one of my faborites though.

Lively Up Yourself, mon. ;)
Never heard of them.

The Wilburys are a supergroup consisting of George Harrison (former Beatle), Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynn, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty. They were big around 1988-1990. Awesome stuff.

Tom Waits is... TWISTED, but if you've seen Shrek 2 you've heard one of his songs. And if you've seen "Mystery Men" you've seen him act. :o

Ron White is a stand-up comic who tours with Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy... if Denis Leary was from Texas, he'd be Ron White.

LOL. I used to listen to it ALL THE TIME when I was little. then I stopped. But now I like it again.

Hehehe... I may not be proud of Tim McGraw being in there, but there's always room for Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and George Jones. ;) Heh, and Montgomery Gentry. Montgomery Gentry is like Biker music. :D

I was always a fan of "Thriller" and "Beat It."

I think MJ might be my favorite artist of all time, despite his tragic life. :o

The only tragedy is that he's such a nutjob. He's a talented man, to be sure. He ruined his good looks, he ruined his reputation, and he ruined his career. But in the old days, he was GREAT. "BAD" was good, too.

Man, my friend Clifton who used to live down the street had all the Michael Jackson stuff, the clothes, a sparkly glove... he learned how to breakdance and moonwalk and stuff. Then when the accident happened with the Pepsi commercial where MJ's hair caught fire and he ended up in the hospital, I said something to Clifton about it and he was all, "Oh, man, I'm not really into Michael Jackson anymore. He's okay, I guess. I really like Prince now."

:o

Ohhh, well I've never heard of them. They sound interesting.

That's not an "em," it's a her. Some of her newer stuff is not so great, but if you've ever heard "Human Behavior" or "Army of Me," it's great stuff.
Well I know it's a her (She was the musical guest on Scarlett's SNL episode... which I watch about once a day... ), but she had a couple people playing instruments on stage so I didn't know if all of them were Bjork or if that's what she calls herself. And I might check out some of her old stuff. She's not a bad singer at all.

Dude, check out "version 2.0" and "Bleed Like Me," those are GREAT albums.
Ok, cool.

But you probably have. You know the song In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida? 17 minutes long? Five-minute drum solo? Granddaddy of heavy metal?
Hmm, not ringing any bells.

LOL, I feel better now.
LOL :D. Didn't she sing a Bond song once?

Really? Dude, you'll laugh your ASS off. Especially "No Cure For Cancer," that is some crazy stuff.
HAHA, I'll have to check it out on Youtube sometime.

Lively Up Yourself, mon.
LOL :D

Hmm, they sound pretty cool. I like most of the band members.

Tom Waits is... TWISTED, but if you've seen Shrek 2 you've heard one of his songs. And if you've seen "Mystery Men" you've seen him act. :o
Hmm, I've seen Shrek 2 and Mystery Men, but I don't remember his music and I don't know what he looks like.

Ron White is a stand-up comic who tours with Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy... if Denis Leary was from Texas, he'd be Ron White.
Oh, I see. Well I love Blue Collar (I'm from TX...) so I might check him out sometime.

Hehehe... I may not be proud of Tim McGraw being in there, but there's always room for Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and George Jones. ;) Heh, and Montgomery Gentry. Montgomery Gentry is like Biker music. :D
LOL, I've never liked Tim McGraw. At all. I LOVE Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline (2 Ciggarettes In An Ashtray :cwink: ), Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and George Strait. And I've never heard of George Jones or Montgomery Gentry. Actually, they do sound familiar, but I don't remember their music.

Ohhh, well I've never heard of them. They sound interesting.

They are. Trust me. http://www.arresteddevelopmentmusic.com/index.cfm

Well I know it's a her (She was the musical guest on Scarlett's SNL episode... which I watch about once a day... ), but she had a couple people playing instruments on stage so I didn't know if all of them were Bjork or if that's what she calls herself. Her real name is Bjork (pronounced Bee-YERK) Gudmunsdottir. She's from Iceland, hence the Scandinavian name.
Ok, cool.

They did the theme song to "The World Is Not Enough," in fact.
Hmm, not ringing any bells.

HOLY ****. It is time to FIX that.
LOL :D. Didn't she sing a Bond song once?

Uhhhhhhhhhh...
HAHA, I'll have to check it out on Youtube sometime.

Will YouTube censor all the excessive swearing?
Hmm, they sound pretty cool. I like most of the band members.

Their two albums were just re-released in a boxed set a week or so ago. I've had "Tweeter and the Monkey Man" stuck in my head ever since. ;)

Hmm, I've seen Shrek 2 and Mystery Men, but I don't remember his music and I don't know what he looks like.

The song the crocodile was singing in the bar, "Little Drop of Poison." That was Tom Waits (his song, and his voice). In Mystery Men he was guy who gave them their vehicle and their gadgets.

Also if you listen to Johnny Cash, you might have heard a song called "Down There by the Train." That's a Tom Waits song, too.

Oh, I see. Well I love Blue Collar (I'm from TX...) so I might check him out sometime.

Ron White is another one who swears excessively, so make sure you don't get a lousy censored copy. Buy the DVD, "They Call me Tater Salad."

And I've never heard of George Jones or Montgomery Gentry. Actually, they do sound familiar, but I don't remember their music.

Dude, George Jones is older than sin... No-Show Jones, The Possum... if you only listen to one song of his, check out "Cold, Hard Truth." Montgomery Gentry is one you'll have heard if you listen to country radio at all. Eddie Montgomery (John Michael's bigger, badder brother) and Troy Gentry. They do songs like "Speed," "Our Town," "Daddy Won't Sell the Farm," "Tattoos and Scars," etc...

I'm listening to them right now. They remind me of The Black Eyed Peas. I like it.

Her real name is Bjork (pronounced Bee-YERK) Gudmunsdottir. She's from Iceland, hence the Scandinavian name.
LOL, I see...

They did the theme song to "The World Is Not Enough," in fact.
Oh yeahhh. I forgot about that. They're ok.

HOLY ****. It is time to FIX that.
LOL

Uhhhhhhhhhh...
Oh, she didn't. I was thinking of Sheena Easton. :o

Will YouTube censor all the excessive swearing?
They don't usually.

The song the crocodile was singing in the bar, "Little Drop of Poison." That was Tom Waits (his song, and his voice). In Mystery Men he was guy who gave them their vehicle and their gadgets.
Hmm, don't remember that part. I have a bad memory, LOL. :o

Ron White is another one who swears excessively, so make sure you don't get a lousy censored copy. Buy the DVD, "They Call me Tater Salad."
Ohh, LOL. Alright.

I'm listening to them right now. They remind me of The Black Eyed Peas. I like it.

That's true, there are some similarities there. AD were first, though. ;)

Glad you like.

LOL, I see...
Also, she's a complete babe. But weird as hell.
Oh yeahhh. I forgot about that. They're ok.
Their best stuff is GREAT. Their worst stuff is ok.
Oh, she didn't. I was thinking of Sheena Easton. :o
**headdesk**

They don't usually.
Okay, good. Because Denis is foul-mouthed. And God bless him for it.

Hmm, don't remember that part. I have a bad memory, LOL. :o
:csad:

Ohh, LOL. Alright.
Sounds like you just figured out who he is?

Trust me. If you're looking for individual songs, try "No. 1 Crush," "When I Grow Up," "Only Happy When It Rains," "Special," "Medication," "Right Between the Eyes," and "Bleed Like Me."

His Jesus-as-Elvis bit will kill you.

So does this mean you don't know who Janis was?

No, but I'll check him out.

Good.

Soon your education in the ways of the Sushi will be complete. :D

K.

So does this mean you don't know who Janis was?
No, your first " :csad: " was because I had bad memory. I know who Janis is.

Good.

Soon your education in the ways of the Sushi will be complete. :D
TEOL! I can hardly wait. :D

So anyone see 'Transformers' yet? I'm goin' to see it tomorrow morning. Can't friggin' wait.

Seein' it this weekend with a group. Maybe this time we'll see a real summer blockbuster as opposed to what we saw with SR. :o

I'm going this weekend, I expect. Hate going to movies alone and it's hard to organize a group, but I gotta get at least one of my friends in on it.
