Yeah, I remember talking about Ghostbusters II with you in these forums. I always defend that film too.

I remember. I wouldn't be shocked if there's a big GB2 newfound resurgence and respect after the reboot is out. It's long overdue if you ask me.

we may not have a choice, I know even back when Ghostbusters 2 was released, there were issues with Ray Parker Jr over the rights to the original theme song

not sure if those were cleared up

Speaking of Rick Moranis, he has said that he'll return to the movies if the right projects come along.

So how come he has yet to return in a Wes Anderson or a Woody Allen movie? If he's still maintained contact with Bill Murray, I'm sure Murray put in a good word about Anderson for Moranis.

Just rewatched the original. I'll try my best but it's going to be nearly impossible to watch this reboot and not compare it to the original in terms of whether it's an instant classic or just a nice summer movie that will be forgotten in a few years.

Dumb and Dumber To kind of came and went. Both of these have elements of nostalgia attached to them, so I expect something like that, unless the new cast and screenwriters are pulling out all the stops when it comes to the humor and all.

Or any kind of marketing aside from the character posters. At least something viral. I'm not a huge fan of this reboot but hell, at least start pushing to gain momentum.
