Forgive me for not having time to research every little detail about this movie.

On another note, it's going to be weird to see these guys in a Ghostbusters, not being the Ghostbusters.

Don't apologize, he's just cranky like that.

Yeah, it's gonna be weird, so hopefully the cameos are funny I guess.

He was keeping it cool until now. I guess everyone has a limit.

He got drunk and decided to jump on twitter. You can see one of his hashtags that says "#drunktweet

Stay classy, Paul.

Eh I guess. Well not I guess, fact, everyone has a limit.

But dude is 53 years old getting in a drunk fight with people on Twitter. That's just corny to me.
Hell it's corny when 20 year olds get on fights on Twitter

Im not the biggest fan of this movie (the idea is fine, I just dont like the cast much) and yeah a lot of the detractors can be annoying. Ive even seen them in this thread, but I still think Feig shouldve kept it cool. I hope he doesnt apologize though

Twitter has got to be one of the dumbest creations of all time. I absolutely despise that crap.

Twitter is great. Like all social media, if you follow the right people it can be really funny, entertaining, informative, or all of the above.

He changed his twitter picture, it was originally a still from his GB movie now it's a charlie brown character LOL. This doesn't look good for editing, he better take a deep breath and go on a quick vacation somewhere before he starts touching the film.

Ive said multiple times if people are hating on this just because of the whole just women aspect then they really can go **** themselves but if it's a reasonable criticism about they're dislike then they should be allowed to express it.

But the thing is, the ones that feel that women shouldn't be the reboot gender feel it's completely justified. Hence the whole "opinions are like *******s" theory.

Almost no one is ****ing on this movie because its about female Ghostbusters. But that's all Feig and the media have focused on.

The issue that a vast majority of fans have is them abandoning the old continuity for no reason, and with a (dare I say it) gimmicky concept of a team of female Ghostbusters.

That's not saying it'll be bad (though many fear it could be), but it's a pointless reboot, with a pointless gimmick. Because if they had to reboot, they could've just recast the old characters. And any other time, the studio would have.

Twitter is a double-edged sword. Specially if you're a known celebrity or director or whatever. I would get tired too if people kept *****ing about a film they haven't even seen yet. You don't like the movie? That's totally fine, but WATCH the movie and talk s**t about it if you want, AFTER watching it.
I'm not totally happy with this reboot, but that doesn't mean I should tweet s**t to Paul Feig.

They don't want to like it. It's not even about them actually disliking or liking the update, they literally do not want it to even exist and regardless of it being good or not will never want it.

I've gained so much respect for Feig. I love this. I wish more would do the same. You know why? Because not enough of our little knee-jerky fanboy culture recognize how s***ty our behavior really is alot of the time.

This

So some trolls on Twitter are still freaking out at the female Ghostbusters lol. I'm rooting for this movie big time now.

It's so funny how I've done a 180 on the film too. I'm not for a Ghostbusters reboot, but I like Paul Feig and it really shows how relentless and awful the "Internet" can be.

I've noticed a certain hypocrisy. For decades, geeks have yearned to be accepted by the mainstream to end the ridicule and hate that was put on them. Now what we love is mainstream and beloved and we of all people should be the ones who support the next people who want that same acceptance and equality in the eyes of our peers. Because we've been there ourselves. We have that responsibility now where the ball's in our court. But some people don't see that and are as bad as the people who demeaned them. Maybe it's inadequacy issues.

I appreciate the don't give a **** attitude of Feig and not caring what people say. And there's only so much you can take. We've all been there. It's worse for a director like him to whose target to such insults. I think the guy earned one little social media outburst. The man got drunk and is on vacation. Depending on how good the movie is, those drunken responses may or may not be justified. This isn't Josh Trank. But at the same time, instigating the instigators doesn't help and only adds more fuel to the fire, especially on social media. It's not something I would do. But damn, sometimes these people deserve it where you just gotta say it. And it's not like the people he's insulted have sound criticisms.

I think he's earned it too.

SPY was an amazing movie and there's a few haters who deny the quality of that film. Otherwise it would harm their argument against GB.

I dont get how you can hang around twitter or listen to any outside noises when you're in production... seems very counterproductive to me.

on the other side: that hater dude needs to get a life.. I get it that he loves the old movies. But making these lame childish remarks on the looks of the actresses and so on.. jeez wtf is wrong with people.

I forgot about Spy which I'm sure he's gotten unfair heat for too. It's just compounded for him. Rethinking it, yeah in his shoes I might do the same. You can't stay silent on some of these things. The guy has been very polite anyway during the whole process. The guy cares. And it's bad for an artist to have good intentions and be misunderstood and **** on for them.

The hater's profile..wow. Just day in, day out, hating. It's not healthy.

Imagine if directors were that involved in the fan community?

Bay?

Synder?

Nolan?

Ofcourse all this can be distracting to the filming process

Lighting director- How do you want to light this shot?

Director- Not now! I'm throwing expletives at a user on twitter!

Yeah it's best not to look on social media for anything. Good or bad do not check because it can effect your work. You just never know what can hit you with one comment. But sometimes you can't help it and it just reaches you through osmosis.
