There it is...there is the trailer they should have led with. This trailer best represents the film that I enjoyed.

It's an improvement. But why was it improvement?

Because there was more McKinnon, Wiig and Thor. And WAY LESS Patty and less of her screaming.

But the sad thing is that this is their fourth trailer cut differently from the rest. Each one has been cut differently from it's predecessor, it's like they're flinging sh** to the wall and trying to see what sticks. They should've grabbed people from the beginning.

According to a poster, the way they're depicting Patty is very different from the Patty in the final film.

As said, I wouldn't be surprised if SONY severs ties with the company that marketed this film especially if they made a somewhat enjoyable film look like a complete turd, and made a quirky character come off like an insane asylum inmate lol.

Okay...the international trailer wasn't bad.

Got a few chuckles out of me.

I believe what me and the other poster who saw the test screening have both said is that Patty's worst, most over the top moments are in the trailers. Which they are. Those moments are loud, obnoxious and problematic...but...they are few and far between.

Trailer #2 is much better than the first. I'm definitely seeing this. It's probably gonna be kinda ******, but the amount of unnecessary outrage it's garnering has motivated me to see this film out of spite.

Ok I'm going to admit it, I actually really liked the International trailer quite a bit. I'm almost a tad bit pumped to see it now. Why they didn't release that as the first trailer is beyond me.

I just want this movie to be good, just so we can have a discussion about the role of advertising, social media, marketing and speculation. I miss the times where I didn't know nothing about the film until I saw a clip of the trailer on E! and that was it.

Oh, and the international trailer is, you know, quite good!.

Well, slowly but surely they are getting there haha. Just ditch that last concert moment and it's a pretty solid trailer. That selfie stick gag is horrid.

Bout time they added more McKinnon. Not marketing Wiig, McKinnon and Hemsworth like this earlier was a mistake. Nice seeing Cecily Strong too.

Is it bad that when the international trailer said "From the Studio that Brought you Spider-man and Men In Black" I immediately thought "Those movies are over 10 years old! And you didn't mention Amazing Spider-man. And you didn't mention Pixels. Which now that I think about it, some of the CGI work reminds me of Pixels!"

Okay I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked the international trailer. That was way better.

More McKinnon!

I cannot wait to see this!

"It will hunt you every night, whatever they are no one should encounter that kind of evil... except you girls, I think you can handle it"

"Oh good, thanks..."

:funny:

Love the delivery of the actor from Mad TV!

i'll give credit where credit is due if this was the first trailer I would not be so negative to this for real the marketing team who drop the first trailer should get fired

They should've replaced Cecily Strong with the actress that plays Patty.

Seems like she's the main problem of the movie.

I'm a little insulted that oftentimes the international trailers are cut much better than ours. Are they just purposely giving us the stupid parts becaues they think we'll eat it up?

I think you overestimate the American general audience.

What I was thinking. A lot on here may not have found the first couple of trailers funny, but it was the loud Patty moments that got the laugh at my theaters. Trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

Depends on the audience. With the 20-30 something year old crowd the trailers didn't work and I could hear backlash talk. But when I saw a film with an older demo that had the trailer attached, they laughed.

International trailer doesn't look like as big a pile of ****. Again, McCarthy is terrible, but I've never liked her "I SHOUT THINGS AND THEN FALL OVER" type casting. Wiig and McKinnon are fine, possibly because they have actual talent. CGI is awful, like really poor. Thor looks to be completely disconnected from everything in a way that could bring lots of comedy.

Still not gonna see it.

Yeah, I notice when I go see something opening night with a bunch of millenials in the theatre, if a trailer comes on that has been panned online they will actively groan and boo it.

Do people actually do that? I've only seen teenage girls cheer at Twilight trailers. Apparently telling them to "shut the **** up" is rude...

We're like Canada. Up is down, and left is right.

You've just described every movie Hemsworth is in. :p

It just feels like the awkward humorless friend you really like. So you laugh feeling embarrasment and psychological pain with a dash of angst on his/her behalf.
