You know what? You're right. They should just put the Hulk down and tell everyone he went to doggy heaven. He's a menace, a danger to those around him, and he's never intentionally done anything good ever in his life, except for the times he did, but those don't count.

I (snarkishly) concede. You win.

Well as long as you're willing to admit that.

I don't agree to what you said. I just abhor these stupid online arguments.

You did, you said it in the post above when you said "you're right".

If you abhor stupid online arguments you should maybe stay out of a comic book forum thread under the title with the word stupid in it. Just a thought. Other thought, smoke some pot.

I will take your "other thought" into consideration.

Alright, I've been out of the X-loop for too X-long.

Can someone explain to me in small words how "Nation X" is different than Genosha? Pretend I have no idea what Nation X is. Because that would be the truth.

Nation X (although I'm not sure if it's actually called that or "Utopia") is run by the X-Men. That literally seems to be the only difference I can find.

But I don't read the comics either, so take my observation with a grain of salt.

It's brand new so we haven't seen anything other than "This is a home for Mutants now" but so far that's it. But it's run by Cyclops instead of Magneto, so we'll see how that goes.

With the Nation X storyline coming up, followed by Necrosha and Second Coming... I'm real curious to see what's coming up for the X-Titles soon. Especially after Second Coming... that's been building since Messiah Complex.

I guess you already have to be a big X-Men fan. I dabble in X-Men now and then and I honestly could not be less excited if I tried. You see fresh, interesting stuff, I see the X-Men's version of Genosha/Asteroid M/Avalon that's doomed to failure, an excuse to inject the ever-popular zombie into the X-comics, and a messiah that will almost certainly turn out to be Jean or somehow related to Jean.

You know what's interesting to me about the X-Men right now? Beast leaving because he, unlike everyone else on the X-Men, still has a conscience. I'm dying to read SWORD.

I agree that Necrosha is just a zombie-ish story, but as a longtime X-Fan it excites me that I can see some old favorites again that I haven't seen in a while. Heck, the previous already show Blink (the 616 one who died only after 3 issues during the Phalanx Covenant), so that has me excited. And they aren't all zombie-fied like over in Blackest Night so they might be able to stick around.

And honestly, I'd be majorly shocked if Hope (the Messiah baby) turns out to be Jean. It's WAY too obvious. I'm expecting her to go nuts like Bishop's been saying all along and really be her own character and I see Cable sacreficing himself to take her down.

So, Nation X is basically like the mutant home? Isn't there only like just a few hundred of them or something left? Would that be a Nation? Wouldn't that be more like Community X or City X?

Yeah, I think Cyclops would have an easier time turning that little island of his into a city, especially since it's only barely off the coast of San Francisco. They might as well join the state of California.

Also, a difference between Genosha and Utopia is that Cyclops isn't going to cease the X-Men's normal humanitarian/superhero activities (whereas Magneto was a bit of an isolationist). With any luck, they're still deputized as police consultants in SF.

But then how would they protect a world that hates and fears them?

if Jean had lived after planet x would she have ended up with wolverine? im reading x-men again and im remembering morrison's run and it kind of makes me think this was the original plan.

I got the impression Jean only advanced on Wolverine as a way to get at Scott. Wolverine rejected her because even he knew she didn't really want him right then. If she had lived through Planet X, her marriage to Cyclops would've been over, but I doubt she would've gone to Wolverine.

I think she would've gone to Genosha with Charles. Not as a couple (despite Charles' desires, I'm sure), but to find something to do with someone she trusts.

Jean/Charles is so gross. Same as Batman/Batgirl in the animated continuity. :barf:
I dont get why Jean nor Scott were ever grossed out by him after it was revealed that Charles loved her as a teen. Actually I dont think Scott ever found that out, but I would have expected Jean to look at him differently following that revelation. I can just imagine Scott finding out now and that would be another secret of Xavier's coming out for him to hate on him for

Is Xavier back in the fold with the X-Men now? I thought I saw him at a table with Scott, Beast, and others when I flipped through this week's Uncanny X-Men.

he returned after they rescued him in the Dark Avengers crossover. Scott still resents him but for the time being seems to be tolerating having him around. I think its good to have him around at least to keep Emma in check. She has that piece of the Void stuck in her head which risks being a threat if she were to use her TP. Xavier has similar experience being that he had a dark fragment absorbed into his head which lead to Onslaught
