What is the proper name and spelling of Thor's hammer?

And, what can it do?

Forgive the avengers newb please.

Thor wields the enchanted hammer Mjolnir. And rather than me explaining everything, just click the link. They do a much better job of explaining it than I ever would.

Not often that I find myself stumped but I need help with a 2099 question that's nagging me today.

In the X-Men 2099 comics, there is mention that there have been four versions of the X-Men run by four different people. There was Xavier's, _______'s, Zhao's and Xi'an's.

Does anyone remember who the one in the blank is? The one between Xavier and Zhao. I seem to remember the name sounding Hispanic.

Del Ruiz.

This is probably the best place for this question.

I've been out of the comic scene for quite few months and statred picking up issues I've missed during this time. I was just wondering what has happened with the Thanos title, there doesn't seem to have been any copies out for a couple of months and Marvel don't seem to have it listed anymore, could someone shed some light on the matter, thanks.

Anybody know what happened to Kristoff Von Doom (or whatever he was calling himself). He was the kid that Doom took over for a while. I seem to remember him in, or at least mentioned in, FF before Waid took over.

Will DBM's querry ever be answered?Tune in next week,same BUMP-time,same BUMP-channel!

If I am correct he was killed by Doom. Kristoff never returned to normal for awhile he was in control of Latveria. Then doom returned issue 300 or some other anniversary. He was in white spiked armor. Kristoff was at war with a robot Doom that thought it was the real Doom as well.

When the Real Doom shows he says a code word that deactivates the bot and he kills Kristoff.

Here's a stupid question since we're already on the topic of Doom:
Anyone see his very quiet return in MTU #2?

Yeah I saw him, I think its good that theyre making MTU actually relevant to the Marvel Universe.

I thought that was great, it really fit with the cohesive feeling Kirkman said he was going for in MTU. Plus, it was way out of left field. I read that page, flipped to the next, then flipped back and went, "HOLY S***!!" :D First time I've felt that cool, "Hey, it's the Marvel universe, anything can happen" feeling in a while.

I was wondering if ASM #400 is a rare comic? as i got of ebay for about £10 which i though was good as its a good comic. Pity they brought aunt may back though :down

Okay, I've got a few questions if you'd be so kind?

What is the whole state with Thor at the moment. I was picking it up in TPB and I know it's finished but I read somewhere that Thor dies. Is this true?

Also, is Magneto back again - last time I saw him he was in a body bag in Genosha with Logans foot on his head!

Thor is sort of in a weird state now. It's not clear whether he's dead or alive. THERE ARE SOME PRETTY BIG SPOILERS AHEAD, SO DON'T READ IT IF YOU WANT TO BE SURPRISED.

STARTING THE SPOILERS NOW... LAST CHANCE...

Ok, Asgard is destroyed and all the other Asgardians are dead, but Thor went into some weird sort of hibernation at the conclusion of the series. He destroys the lifeline of Yggdrasil (I think it was Yggdrasil's, at least; if not that then it was the lifeline of Those Who Sit Above in Shadow) to break Asgard out of the death/rebirth cycle that's been robbing the gods of their true, final rest. Since they kept getting reborn after Ragnaroks, they were being deprived of their postmortem glory, which is a big deal for the warriors of Asgard. Thor mastered the Odinpower and rune magic and, in the process, achieved true wisdom. With that, he realized what was going on with the rebirth cycles and decided to break Asgard out of it. He did so and now Asgard and his fellow gods are all gone. He mentions that he's going to "rest" at the end of the series, but it's unclear whether he's actually resting or if that was a metaphor for his death.

Magneto is indeed back again. Although, if you believe the retcon, he was never gone in the first place. The Magneto who died by Wolverine's hand wasn't really Magneto. Magneto's just been hanging out in Genosha and now Xavier is there with him. Together they're a new-age, mutant Odd Couple. :)

Cheers buddy, thanks for the update. I did have some kind of fit when I read about the magneto thing. Oh boy. I have to ask though - who was the Magneto Logan sliced then? Are there any more running around? Another Joseph? Joshua? Jimmy? Argh! I also hear Xorn has been created/recreated!

And how did Colossus come back form the dead anyway, and why is being proclaimed as a realistic rebirth?

Colossus came back to life with the rationale that the alien (Ord, haven't had the name driven into my head enough yet) used advanced technology to save him after he was believed dead.

That is, he was still on the cusp of life but nothing on Earth was advanced enough to save him; where as your resident alien had the proper tech. Ord then kept Colossus captive for the intervening years and has been using him for experiments (which, at this day are not fully known).

It's being touted as a realistic rebirth for several reasons but the most notable I've picked up on is: everyone believed him dead. His still being alive doesn't change any of the stories surrounding his death (as everyone still believed him dead and for all intents and purposes he was, being trapped and all), and he wasn't just imbued with the steel phoenix or some stupidness.

Colossus' resurrection is about as good as they come in comics. Unlike the Magneto-wasn't-really-Magneto explanation. :o

Genis-vell: I don't actually know all of the details surrounding Magneto's "death" or who the guy was or anything. I wasn't reading X-Men comics at the time and I'm not reading Excalibur now. I've just heard other people talk about it around here and read solicitations.

Xorn is back or here for the first time or whatever, too. That's true. I don't know the details about that either.

I actually bought the New X-Men issues of Planet X just because I was curious how bad they could really be...

Worst mistake of my life...well, as far as comics go.

I honestly felt like I snorted coke before I read them because everything was happening real fast and didn't make much sense. Like the fact that the Mags imposter decides he's going to take over New York and then we just see that he did it and has an iron hold on it...no resistence, no government, I didn't know what the hell was happening.

But from what I read of Excalibur while on the shelves (didn't buy them b/c I like the Magneto character and was pissed that they went from his funeral to him being alive in one issue), the Magneto that took over New York was some sort of imposter that was able to manifest Mags powers too. I guess he believed he was Mags (ala Phoenix) and did all that.

The Xorn hanging around now is actually supposed to be the real Xorn's brother or some such. The real Xorn is supposedly dead (though when and how, I don't know cause I wasn't reading the comics when all this stuff was supposed to have happened).

Translation?

Everyone's trying to cover up the terrible repercussions that were Planet X.

Ta guys. Planet X was big old pile of moo-moo waste, that's for sure. Is it worth picking up the next new X-men TPB? (whenever it's out) Such a shame, when it all started I really thought it was going places.

It was going places. Marvel just forced it to go back after all was said and done.

Bump.

Guys I plan to add an index of all the questions on the first page, wait for it to come by New years.

I'm bumping this because I've seen several threads with questions that could have gone in here.

Why does Eddie and Cletus become naked when their symbiotes are off of them? The had clothes on before
