They can mold it when it's molten. When it cools, that's it. Except if you're Magneto, and I'm pretty sure he has better things to do.

My point, is, that the material is so exceptionally rare and hard to meld that not many are capable of melting it down to it's molten level.

I'm sure he does for a few suits, but each one would be astronomically expensive. Adamantium is one of the rarest materials ever. During "Ultron Unleashed," when the Avengers were fighting a small army of Ultrons, Iron Man commented that they couldn't all be made of adamantium because he didn't think there was enough adamantium in the world to construct so many Ultrons, and that was probably just about 100 or so androids. Think of how many times Iron Man has upgraded his armor, then think of how much just one suit of adamantium armor would cost, then multiply that cost by all the suits of armor Iron Man's had. Even the richest person on Earth would probably go broke trying to buy that much adamantium.

I'm talking one suit for important situations, plus how long has it been since he's changed his armor, I dont think you'd ever have to upgrade its durability and I'm sure he can upgrade other things without having to make a whole new suit. I dont get why you think he would need Multiple Adamantium Suits. He doesnt have to destroy the armor to upgrade it. Just take it apart and stuff.

I dont think Tony Stark or Stark Enterprises would have any trouble getting it to it's molten form.

I got a question about the continuity of the Ultimate universe. In a recent USM there was a mention of the hulk attacking NY, but this happened way back in Ultimates 1. So does the Ultimates take place somewhat in the future of the Ultimate universe? If so how does things like Ultimate Six and Ultimate War fit into continuity? Its very confusing to me.

He attaced new york twice actually. Once, in UMTU, where he made his first apperance in the ultimate universe, and again in Ultimates 1 issue 4. I don't read USM so your gonna have to be specific about what they actually said, but I assume they were simply refurring to one of those two. They happened about a year or two ago in Ultimate continuity.

Oh and Ultimate War happened just before the Return of the King arc in Ultimate X-Men. And Ultimate Six happened after GG was captured Captured by SHIELD. All of which happened after Ultimates 1.

Everything except the FF issue. Although they tend to do away with stuff at they're leasure. Looks like the Iron Man story may end up out of continuity if they allow Orson Scott Card to continue to do whatever he wants.

It looked like the 616 version. As drawn by the great Mike Allred.

Except he could just write off the construction of any suit of his to research and development for stark enterprizes and the taxpayers'd take care of it. To be fair Tony hasnt actually paid for his suits of armor yet.
He should make one out of vibranium anyway. It'd provide much better protection since Adamantium is just hard. Vibranium has it's own built in shock absorber.

Umm isn't that supossed to be part of the reason why CA's shield is so special, apart from the unknown susbstance that was thrown into the mix, it was also extremley hard/impossible to duplicate.

Isnt Cap's shield vibranium or did they chnage that?

I thought it was an adamantium/vibranium alloy thats why i suggested an adamantium/Iron alloy it would not be as impressive as Caps shield due to the Vibranium.

My original point was that he could afford to make one even if it was Adamantium and Vibranium.
Vidranium would probably be better, Ultimate Hulk snapped a adamantium needle in half so it might not be as indestructible in the Ultimate Universe, maybe it would work better in the Ult universe.

Caps shield is Vibranium/Steel. There is NO adamantium in it

It's not adamantium. Adamantium is NOWHERE IN CAPTAIN AMERICA'S SHIELD. Adamantium was an attempt to duplicate the material Cap's shield is made of, so clearly there could be no adamantium IN the shield to begin with. It's a mix of vibranium, a steel alloy, and some unknown ingredient. There was a whole thread on this like two days ago.

Anyway, I guess Iron Man could make one suit out of adamantium. I thought you were asking why he doesn't make his suits out of adamantium in general.

What about the Ultimate Universe
ultimate caps shield is made from pure adamantium, but we don't know how ultimate adamantium compares to 616 adamantium

Are you talking about when he ripped Wolverine in half?

No in Ultimates 1 when I think Hawkeye tried to stick with an adamantium needle to revert him back to Banner, im not saying for sure but if it is fact, it was just a needle.

No not Wolverine thats because of his Joints
