Winick will continue to write Connor badly. That's the only prediction I feel confident enough to make.

I have to admit even thought I knew Dinah would accept Oliver's proposal , I figured she would just say Yes on the spot . I never expected her to just rip him apart and then say yes .

despite ollie's tough talk and arrogance, dinah's really the one who wears the pants in that relationship. i find that hilarious.

I guess since Oliver was for most of his life a dirty lying Son of a ***** cheating sucm bag bastard (who only cared about himself) like Dinah pointed out . It took her a while to accept his proposal .

Where as Clark Kent , Wally West and the other superheros in the DCU who are married are good honest moral men etc ... , It was easy for women like Lois Lane , Linda Park etc ...to accept the proposal .

yeah.. back in the grell days .. she didn't just wear the pants .. she had a goddamn strap-on :P

she also has a tendency to hit Ollie a lot.. well back then, she was really really jeliouse, and Ollie could hardly talk to another woman before she hit him..

In other words.. Ollie is not dead.. but is just gone..

So whats the deal with Green Arrow?
I have a vague memory of him pretty much just like Robin Hood except he has novelty arrows like batman's magical utility belt (net arrows, whistle arrows, exploding arrows, flashbang arrows, shark-repellant arrows)...
Is there more to the character? I mean specifically his character, and motivation, and what sets him apart from somebody, like, say, Green Lantern (who most people usually confuse him with).
I'm sure I could just read it on wiki, but I'm more after what makes this character special and/or a fan-fav in the eyes of his fans?

His uber-Liberalism set him apart from GL back when they shared a comic, and it's still a major part of the character to this day. Other than that, Ollie's much more gray and conflicted than a lot of other superheroes. He's not a terribly great person--he got into the superhero game out of boredom, he's a womanizer, he's killed people, he knew that he had a son but waited eighteen years to get to know him, etc.

I'm...almost entirely certain that no one in history has ever confused Green Arrow with Green Lantern.

He's a bit of an irritating loudmouth, too. And a showoff. With a really short temper. Does lots of things without thinking. Pisses off everyone close to him. Died once for being a stubborn git, and got resurrected for much the same reason.

But, uh, yeah, he's a really good guy underneath it all. Seriously. Yup. Cooks great chili.

yeah, i really hate that dc made it's only overtly liberal character such an *******. yeah, i'm sure a lot of liberals are *******s, but that doesn't really represent us well. i like the fact that he's not a boring, squeaky-clean farm boy like superman, and he's got a lot of interesting complexities and flaws, but it's almost as if they've purposely tried to turn people off from him, which sucks. i guess they're giving him a little more character development these days by having him mature and become a little less self-involved and more loyal to his "family", but i have a feeling that won't last. i hope it does, but i won't hold my breath on it.

Ollie for all his flaws is always the first to jump into the fire..

The funny thing about Ollie is, he has a lot of the same qualities that make me dislike a character like Ultimate Captain America. Except, for representing two different sides of the political spectrum. And I like Ollie.

That's because of your blatant liberal bias! Dirty liberal! Hippie!

that's a pretty fair comparison. they're both extreme representations of their respective idologies. i guess it depends on who's ideals you align yourself with... *cough*celldog*cough*

I can't stand Ultimate Cap either, but I've grown to dislike Ollie, as well. Connor's my Green Arrow. Of course, he seems to be picking up bad habits (not to mention women) from his father these days. :(

i only read the first issue of "dragon's blood". who did he hook up with?
