So somehow I received 2 SDCC Raft sets, but only ordered 1 , only have an email order confirmation for 1, only one shipping notice for 1, and only 1 box had a packaging slip and it too only said 1 set.....

and most importantly my bank account has only been charged for 1....

Yeah I have a boat-load of Toy biz figures nobody really wants. Phoenix, if I remember right was at one time worth alot

youd be surprised.. alot still want things we no longer want or value.. ive kinda made some really serious dough

I've been selling my old ones off too. Using old ones to pay for new ones hase been pretty sweet, though. I thought it would be tough to let them go but it hasn't been. I paid for my X-Men wave with old ToyBiz figures. Nice not coming out of pocket!

You know what I don't understand, though? How do people sell BAFs on eBay so cheap. I've seen Absorbing Man listed at 35 or 45 bucks. I paid 35 shipped for Iron Monger. Mandroid for $45. Six figures at 20 each is 120 dollars. How do you go from 120 to 45? Are they stealing the parts? Why ask a fraction of what it costs to build one? I don't get it.

it's about demand. the new absorbing man, and especially the SDCC sandman and both the SDCC abomination and Cap wave 3 BAF abomination many do not care for... so they're all going for about $30

Mandroid was an army builder.. people want multiples

I get supply and demand. But if I'd like to get rid of my BAF, and it took me 120 bucks to build it, I certainly am getting a lot more than 35 bucks. Or I'd just hold onto it. Again, why take that big of a hit on it? If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense.

Some creep in my area was buying figs from the Hulkbuster wave, replacing the BAF parts with Green Goblin and Mandroid parts, then returning them to the store...

That sucks. Thats the one bad thing about these resealable packages. Even so, that's more work than I'm willing to do to make 40 bucks.

you're not looking at it correctly though... it took you $120 to build it only if you weren't wanting nor keeping the figures that came with it.. you're paying maybe $15 for the figure in each wave plus $5 for the BAF piece. it's not a big of a hit as you're thinking to be honest unless you are only buying a wave for a BAF... the parts are packins.. you're not spending $20 on a baf part.. you're spending $20 on the figure that BAF part comes with.

Id gladly sell it.. but i gotta sell it at least what they could potentially charge me... and ive heard shipping on the box is ridiculous to the point where you don't really make money off of it. Hasbro shipped it for $20 but i think they get lower rates for being a business. So be prepared for that. I can always ship loose though.

that's unfortunately VERY common... and it's not going to stop until hasbro changes the boxes back to clam shell or blister card.

theft was always there on occasion but this rampant part and fig swapping was not

Yeah, if you are keeping the figs I see what you're saying that the parts are more like 5 bucks, BUT...you can't buy them separate from the figs. You HAVE to pay 20 bucks for each piece.

Again, I hear you, but maybe it's me, I think Build A Figures are worth way more than 40 bucks. 30-40 was the right price for Rocket Raccoon, only because you could build him with 4 pieces.

Any BAF I do sell, except Rocket, I wouldn't take any less than $80. And maybe they wouldn't bite at that price, which is fine. I'll just keep it then.

no you don't joing a facebook community group or Ebay.. you'll never see a BAF go for $120 aside from maybe a sentinel or a hard to get wave

One of my happiest days as a collector. My first full case. My first Deadpool. Awesome stuff! I will say Iceman is the weakest of the bunch. Super soft plastics make it tough to stand him. He looks cool, though.





Very excited for the updates! Spending my Saturday off reading comics and setting up action figures.

Picked up the new Lego Nexo Knights Jestro's Volcano Lair, thing is huge and while not thrilled with the $120 price tag it came with 11 minifigures, 3 vehicles and a pretty cool set overall.
