Indeed!

I'd like to see a few pieces of exercise equipment. A bench for bench presses. Maybe some rings hanging down...not sure.

maybe the picture of what his parents did look like before the fire

Actually the only real detective work I ever remember seeing him do in all the movie franchise was in BATMAN FOREVER.

Scratch that...they did a lot in the 60s tv series.

Well, you could consider him figuring out the chemical smilex thing in B89 to be sorta detective-esque.

Don't want any huge changes in the Batcave, no bigass mainframe computers with flashing lights, just several large monitors showing TV channels, maybe some crime lab type equipment, some permanent brighter lighting. Loads of pinboards with scraps of evidence, maps of Gotham etc. Whats Wayne Manor going to be like this time? A shed around the entrance to the Batcave?

Good point. Maybe some wanted posters as well.

Maybe since the caves are large enough, a sort of obstacle course deep within for Batman to practice one, i.e. large cliffs to jump off, silly stuff like that.

It'd be cool if the movie opened on batman inside his training session.

That scene when Bruce was in his study, sitting on the floor and writing? Surrounded by pictures? That was detective work. Just becuase he's not bent over a microscope doesn't mean it's not detective work.

I'd like to see the sliding Grandfather Clock entrance to the Batcave, with the stone steps leading down.

Oh, and while we're on the subject, what song were those notes from? The ones that Bruce and Alfred used to open the door to the cave.

Lol always sounded like the NBC theme to me.

This isn't so much of what they should add to the manor or cave, but I would like to see the size and depth of the Bat cave. Like in '89 we saw just how huge the cave really was. Maybe, the Begins cave really isn't that big, and what we saw is all it is, but that's hard to believe.....Your thoughts?

I guess you missed the wide shots when Alfred and Bruce were exploring the cave. Looked pretty cavernous to me.

i would love to see the movie open with him having a house warming party then he was called to duty

I want that "the apple has fallen very far from the tree" guy back in TDK. Could lead to some amusing Wayne Enterprises board scenes with them and Fox

we all hope he'll be like a member of CSI in this one so some sort of area covered in research and porno... yes, porno.

^^ haha yeah we definately need to see that bust with the button, and he and gordon both need the red phones.

this new movie has updated everything pretty much... N.

I'd like to add that Nolan DOES NOT have to explain where Bruce gets EVERYTHING. Sure, he has to explain where Batman got his suit, where he got his car, and gadgets....but in The Dark Knight, if the new Batcave just happens to have a big super computer in it....I can survive without an explanation on how Bruce acquired it. So I'm just adding in the point that Nolan doesn't necessarily have to explain everything.

anyways, back to the point of this thread:

The Batcave in Begins was very unorganized. By Batman Begins 3 the Batcave should eventually have stations:

Computer/maps/detective station
Vehicle station
Suit station
Gadget station
Chemistry/Science/testing/whatever station
workout area

it should just get more organized.

he did in batman 89.

The piano thing is classier, although my favorite is still the fish tank

Do you honestly believe that? Because I've seen Begins numerous times and NO scene in that movie conveys "World's Greatest Detective" to me. And don't anybody give me that "It's early in his career" crap. He was supposed to be studying criminology during all those years abroad and if he doesn't have those skills in BB, then he won't have them a few months later in TDK.

I think the bat PC needs to be huge, I mean back in the day, yes it needed to be that big because well...they were tha big. A wide screen on a wall with a key board on it would make me happy. No wall of gadgets, I hated that in BF and BR, the way they were in BB is fine with me. no museum yet or batmobile garage...basically it should look like its reinforced, has a few new toys, but nothin huge. For me that is.

You know, i still think that, depending on when The Dark Knight takes place, and I'm guessing a month after, it will have been too soon to have much of the manor built. I'm almost thinking that they might bring back the Bat-penthouse or something, in the meantime. If they do have it finished, though, stick with the piano. I still check mine everyday, just to see if i have a hidden batcave...

a lot like the one in batman forever!
