The bazooka was as ******ed as that costume and his buzz cut/goatee look. I suppose Angel is sort if weak in a fight. You kind of have to go out of your way to write situations where he becomes valuable. I think Brubaker did a pretty good job with that in the MC one-shot. He and Kurt sort of tag-teamed against one of the Marauders. His new healing powers made in more important, but Marvel seems to have forgotten those.

Is that the one where Kurt got shot to ****? I remember everyone is the plane trying to get back to the mansion to find a healer. And Warren has literally standing right there.

That's one instance where he coulda done something, but I was talking about the last issue of the Crossover that doesn't come out until tomorrow but I got it because I subscribed and those bastards actually sent me something early even though it came at the same time as ASM 546 and I already had ASM 547 torn up and keeping my Canary's Cage tidy.

Yeah, I'm all for portraying his wings as being strong crack concrete or whatever, but all we've ever actually seen him do is swoop down and punch people. I kind of wish he'd just start packing some throwing daggers to mimic his metal wings' flechettes or go back to that oddly mundane Soulsword he jacked from the Exiles' Magik.

Yes. Really, any kind of weaponry would help him out. Otherwise he's just swooping in and punching people again.

Having the sword was a lame attempt at playing up the Angel aspect of his character.

Well, the healing blood is the same thing, basically. I don't see a huge problem playing up that image.

There's a difference between having a power like the healing thing and running around with a sword. It's just stupid.

Flying around without any combat application seems more stupid to me, but whatever. Nightcrawler's really the X-Man who needs a sword anyway.

Swords aren't really practical in today's world of guns and whatnot.

Yeah, but arming him like Cable would look even more stupid. I still support my throwing daggers idea. He's already skilled with them and they're more versatile than just a sword.

When has he thrown daggers? I thought he just shot them from his wings, or something.

Yeah, his metal wings had flechettes. Since he no longer has the metal wings, throwing daggers are a good way to approximate that offense. Personally, I'd just as soon get the metal wings back, but I doubt that'll happen.

There was an Angel from the Weapon X team in Exiles that had pistols. As if he never dropped the whole Avenging Angel deal and became a hard boiled noir type of hero instead. Nothing awesomes a guy up like a pair of turbo powered 45's.
