I can guarantee that Dylan is in the among others and Sneider couldn't swallow his pride to mention him after saying he wouldn't get it

All these actors are under 20 years-old. Dylan is 23.

None of these are ideal at all. It would really feel like the best of a bad bunch if one of them is picked.

Nat Wolff is a ****ing terrible actor, so I hope it's not him.

I could argue The Wrap's "shortlist" isn't even a real shortlist. He makes a point of mentioning that they're just five names he's heard on a consistent basis. Does that constitute a real shortlist, especially when he adds "among others" after listing them?

I only know Nat Wolff. He was on show on Nick called the Naked Brothers Band. XD

I for one think Timothée, Asa and Tom would all be excellent choices.

Most important things to take away from Sneiders article:
"Sony and Marvel had no comment regarding the shortlist."

"To be clear, none of the five actors above have test offers, but multiple sources have confirmed they are strong contenders who are definitely in the mix as of right now, and the group paints a picture of the kind of actor the studios want."

"The new “Spider-Man” movie has been shrouded in secrecy, and as with any shortlist, there are actors i the mix whose identities remain a secret. It’s also possible that one of the aforementioned quintet may not end up testing for the coveted role, but as of right now, those are the five actors TheWrap has heard consistently from trusted sources."
So basically we now know that multiple sources say that these 5 guys are 'strong contenders', and are 'in the mix'. They 'paint a picture of the kind of actor the studios want'. Essentially he is saying this is nowhere near official, and it is just people who are rumored to be talked about by Marvel employees, and they don't know for sure if these are the 5 people on the official list Sony supposedly has narrowed the kids down to. They have heard of these 5 actors consistently from 'trusted sources'. Hopefully at least as trustworthy as Sneider is right? :p
You can teel by reading this that it is framed in a way that they are trying to say "we know the official 5" but they don't really know for sure. For all we know their source for Nat is the aforementioned Vincent D'Onofrio.
"While the new Spider-Man is expected to cameo in Marvel’s "Captain America: Civil War,” which starts filming very soon, the role won’t need to be filled until June, when the character will be needed on set."
So now it is also official it will be a cameo in Civil War, not a main character, and Spidey wont need to be filmed 'till June. :) Glad he could clear things up for us!

All in all this is more scoop. Nothing official, and we still cant trust it, especially coming from this guy, especially the way he makes it clear that they don't really know much.

I wrote this an hour or so ago, but forgot to post it. Oops...

It's literally a list of five potentials that will end up being drops in the ocean, but thanks to sneider's click-bait wording will get reported on as official. Because it seems like no one actually reads these articles the whole way through. What a farce

1. Chris Evans wasn't on the short list to play Cap.

2. This ISN'T even the short list! Just some names of people who Sneider heard were auditioning for the role. LOL!

Out of those 5 actors I would have to say Timothee Chalemet is the best, but it is still the best of a fairly bad bunch compared to who else is out there who doesn't even look as old as Nat. (U Know Who :p) Asa would nail PP, but I fret that he will fail the role of SM. Nat and Liam look too jocky IMO. Tom looks like a decent choice, and from what I have seen he would work fairly well, but he doesn't seem to have much humor again. He is very lively though!

Spidey is only a cameo... really?
If you believe everything Sneider states as fact, yes. :p I doubt it though. This list is not near official, and is just speculation mixed with 'sources' in which we know nothing about. He says multiple sources, which could still mean 2, or could mean only one source for each actor! The sources could themselves be fake, and are likely rumors, so we can't really trust anything in that article. :/

Exactly! Just as trustworthy as a twitter post by someone who has been wrong multiple times and wont share sources for some reason.

Tom Holland's dad has already written a whole book about his son being more successful than him - imagine his reaction if he became Spider-Man :hehe:
