i don't think casting news of spiderman will hinder av2 success in any way. it's not like, anything changes. the movie is still coming out, the first site of spidey is still a year away, and his first film is still 2 years away. the only difference is the face you'll get to see next to all the people in this ensemble film in the future, is revealed.

Another thing is, mostly hardcore fans, who were going to go see the film anyway would be the ones paying attention to this news. I say do it, because right now, this new reboot lacks a face, and I think the people who aren't onboard for another reboot will be able to swallow it easier if they know who is Spiderman.

I don't think that'd happen either. spiderman is a part of the mcu now so if anything, that'll make it more clear for anyone who still doesn't know that yet. the news will be connected to av2 hype.
