^it's not definitive at all.

He's my favorite too and it should be against the to not let him audition. The list isn't definitive at all but for me the significant thing is the names are the ones that are mentioned the most. From my point of view I just want Asa to get his shot at auditioning. If he fails, so be it, but audition the guy.
Aaron Johnson and Miles TellerHe's my favorite too and it should be against the to not let him audition.
Let's get together, all of us, and list or own HIGH SCHOOL Spider-Man list. I'll start:
1. Asa Butterfield
2. Isaac Hempstead-Wright
3. Troye Sivan
4. Chandler Riggs
wild card: Tom Holland
However, I would like other choices too, more or less: Lucas Hedges, Jacob Lofland, Robbie Kay, Bill Milner, Aramis Knight, Gavin Casalegno, Thomas Horn, Dakota Goyo, Max Records etc
Bonus question: which ones of these already taken superhero actors would you rather see cast as Spidey: Kodi Smit-McPhee, Tye Sheridan, Aaron Johnson, Nicholas Hoult, Miles Teller, Jamie Bell?
Bonus question #2: How will you react if Marvel suddenly make big and unexpected changes, then surprise us with Ty Simpkins as the webslinger?
people took it out of context like Sneider was actually confirming something, but In reality he was only speculating. To everyone that keeps bringing up the "95% sure" thing... it wasn't a Scoop, or News or a Claim! it was speculation!people took it out of context like Sneider was actually confirming something, but In reality he was only speculating.
Now honestly, I do think Marvel tested for actors of different race (like Kevin said, they started with a wide net) before narrowing the number down to like 20/15.
when you say something like that you're going to create discussion over it because people are gonna think it's real. and that's the exact same thing happening with this shortlist. To everyone that keeps bringing up the "95% sure" thing... it wasn't a Scoop, or News or a Claim! it was speculation!people took it out of context like Sneider was actually confirming something, but In reality he was only speculating.

Kodi for me!!!Aaron Johnson and Miles Teller![]()
Yeah, I don't think this is THE Shortlist, but as stated in the article, I do think it paints a picture of what the studio wants and I DO think that these five are strong contenders for the role. Sneider should have clarified that in the title of the article. And now, everyone relaying his new report is treating it like a real shortlist when he so clearly suggested it wasn't.
Maybe Sneider's preemptively covering his tracks after the whole 95% fiasco. But it's a pity everyone relaying the report isn't reading it in its entirety.
It was never meant to be real, it was speculation.when you say something like that you're going to create discussion over it because people are gonna think it's real. and that's the exact same thing happening with this shortlist.

his intent was to get people to believe him, and they did, and they got frustrated, and then he called spiderman fans racist. It was never meant to be real, it was speculation.

I take it as Sneider just "Talking" just spewing random crap. maybe he didn't think people would care. There's a difference between saying I 'think he will be black or hispanic' and 'I am 95% SURE he will be black or hispanic' regardless of whatever it was a 'scoop' or 'speculation'
Yeah, I do think he went a step too far with calling us "immature", "racist", and "impatient".his intent was to get people to believe him, and they did, and they got frustrated, and then he called spiderman fans racist.
the same thing is happening with this shortlist imo.
I don't know, clickbait is the only thing that comes to mind. :/Why would he clarify that in the title when he gets the clickbait? The man has no sense of honor.
Kodi for me!!!
Bell some ten years ago (teenage SM)
Aaron before he really tried to look like an adult.
Not sure if Sheridan fits. Have to wait to see him in Apocalypse before I can give a fair judgement.
For me the ultimate would have been an 18 year old Andrew Garfield. Super talented and passionate about the character of Spider-Man.
What about Ezra Miller? I forgot to include him as one of the actors who's already cast as a superhero.Anton yelchin could have been good even though he looks just like Harry. Evan Peters also would have been friggin awesome. I think id be equally pleased with either Evan as I would with Dylan (if evan was like five years younger of course)

Was he brought up for Spidey? I must have missed thatHe could've been good as well.. I think that's pretty good casting (as flash) on WB's part. But I didn't think the same back in pre-tasm days when his name was thrown around

We could have got Ezra over Garfield. InterestingI believe he was rumored/speculated I remember seeing his name among others bevause he had just made a movie with Bob DeNiro
