Lets be honest I don't think Kevin Feige would outright say in an interview "Yes we have cast somebody" they want to announce it after we've lost hope of getting an announcement (pretty much at this moment in time) which will have a bigger impact
Did Kevin ever say "Spider-Man has not been cast"? If so can I get a link to the interview. What day was it? Do we really know that spidey has not been cast EVEN NOW? Or do we just know that at x date Kevin said he hadn't been cast?
I trust what Kevin says waaaaaaay more than any scooper.
I really liked The Way, Way Back, but I found him very wooden in it. And the clip you posted has no dialogue from him in it, which is kind of important.![]()
I don't believe a word you say, sorry. I just think you'd rather be right then get who you truly believe would be the right choice for the role. To each their own.I won't change to Lerman as easily one might think. I have to be interested in the candidate first and foremost.
Nah, not really.. because usually I don't change my number 1 pick only the 2nd and third choices.
I supported Dylan for nearly two months, only when five sources started reporting that he was out of the race is when my hope and supporting started to cease.
That shortlist was the final nail in the coffin for me, no going back for me. the least I can hope for is that Dylan gets to voice Spidey in the animated film

Yeah.
Also, note the fact that every post is still saying that 'according to Jeff Sneider' those are the top five.
Probably because Sneider claimed that the short-list was official and not just names he came up with.
OR it could be because he never claimed it was the official short-list, and never even claimed that that was the list Sony/Marvel may have come up with. Then because of this other news posts can't claim it to be anything but Sneiders.![]()
Agreed x10.

Yeah, that's all I recall, and that was a while ago. So forall we know they had it narrowed down to 2 people by then, or narrowed it down to 1 even, but the paperwork had not been done and it was not official yet.Pesoc as for Kevin all I recall is he said the character be 15 or 16. Ans they don't know age actual actor is. I don't recall if he said he wasn't cast.
Fair enough, you guys believe what you want about me.![]()

I believe you areDylanButterfield.![]()
No one has been cast yet. Screen tests have only just begun.

That's what I want to know. The closest I heard was when they were talking about the age of the character and he said he did not know how old the actor would be. That does not mean he has not been cast. It only means he either hasn't been casy yet or, if he has, Feige was not divulging the age. I have not heard him say, "we're still casting" or "we've narrowed our selection to an x number of candidates" or Peter has not been cast yet."

Again, I have not heard that from Sony or Marvel.
Frodo why would Kevin reveal who is cast. Before they are ready. More so if they have some big reveal planned or what not. He was only talking how they want to portray the character. Not the actor. Again this is no different then say how x guys where Heavily rumored for role. But marvel doesn't come out and say anything to they are ready to reveal. That doesn't mean oh when reveal happens that is when x guy signed seal and ready to go to marvel party. These things are worked out months in advance.
There is no way again if spidey is shooting in a month. The actor isn't locked in. Like I said earlier actors need time to prep. Ie schedule when shooting takes place. Get there script and study up on the role. Any training need. And again costumes. These things are not whipped up in a day. They ca. Take weeks to months from going for concept art to finished material suit. And the copies made.

If the actor had been cast a while ago, then he can easily be ready for filming in June.![]()

I think they'd want more than a month of prepping. Who knows, they could have cast someone months ago and he could have been putting on muscle ever since? If the actor gets cast this week or so, he'd still have more than one month for prepping.![]()

My bad.I believe facts, like when you flat out said you make your decision on who you want for Spider-Man based on the most recent casting news/scoops. What's there to argue? It's black and white.
let me explain it better:
