I think Spider-Man's age combined with Dylan being cast in a film which shoots at the same time as civil war makes it clear and obvious that he is not going to be cast. I'd be happy for him to get it but the only trustworthy evidence pointing to him is Paley fest.
He's either trying to get some of the attention from all of the hub bub about casting OR He's being naïve thinking that by making such a big noise about it that he'll be considered when most likely casting has already been finalized.

Despite what I said though, I definitely think Dylan O'Brien is our new Spider-Man. I can't see that not happening.
Dylan O'Brien has about as much chance of getting this role based on Kevin Feige's comments about the character being 15-16 years of age AND Sony wanting to explore the HS aspects of the character as Arnold Schwarzenegger does of becoming President of the United States.
The last resort of a desperate person wanting the final word on a subject is to ignore the point being made and instead attempt to make a joke out of said point.
Dylan O'Brien will not be Sony's new Spider-Man based on their plans for the character (plans that Kevin Feige concurs with and is going to endeavor to accommodate), just as Arnold Schwarzenegger will never become President of the United States (Dylan is far too old to play a 15/16-year-old version of the character, and Arnold Schwarzenegger is constitutionally ineligible to run for the U.S. Presidency).

^ Peter's involvement in Civil War and potentially other Marvel Studios-produced films is only half of the equation, though. Sony wants to explore the HS aspects of the character to a greater degree than they have before, and Feige's comments indicate that he's going to do everything he can to accommodate that desire.

Has anyone from Sony commented on Peter's move back to high school? Feige is the only one talking, and it certainly gives the appearance that Spidey's age-reduction came from he and his team of experts.
Fixed!^ Fine. Far be it from me to try and prevent people from deluding themselves into believing in something that I don't think is ever going to happen and therefore end up disappointed if it doesn't.![]()

I don't think any Sony member has. Feige is the only one who commented on that, and he made it CLEAR that they don't have a set age they want the actor to be.Has anyone from Sony commented on Peter's move back to high school? Exactly.Shouldn't Nat Wolff also have absolutely no hope of being Spider-Man too? He looks older than O'Brien. Just because he is actually younger doesn't mean anything, since it's not a legal requirement to be a certain age here.
I wonder if people other than Cap and Tony will know Spider-Man is Peter Parker. It would be funny if the running gag was 'what are you, like 10' because Spider-Man is so juvenile to his team mates.
I want Spidey to have a secret identity. That would never work that people would wonder about his age if they know what he looks like under the mask.

But if his identity came out it would be among Avengers. But yes, it would be better if only Tony knows and maybe Cap.
But I thought you wanted the other Avengers to wonder about his age in the first place because he acts so immaturely. There wouldn't be any question about his age if they know how old he is.
