Not to mention one who can lead a franchise and then get other good teen actors for the supporting cast, Harry, Gwen, MJ, etc or whoever they plan on using as classmates.

That's the biggest thing that some people seem to fail to understand.

If the whole 'peter started in high school and its vital to his history thing' is the defence for a HS spidey then he shouldnt meet Harry, Gwen or MJ until college:o

If they don't pick Dylan, then I want an actual teenager.

Agreed. *cough*Teo*cough*
Or at least someone as good as Dylan... like... can't think of any.
I doubt they could find one as great as Dylan who is older, so younger would be best then. :)

Just imagine watching a bunch of 14-16 year olds. It would be like a disney show. Seriously. I just couldn't see it working.

But that's just me.

So, given his recent... behaviour, I'm pretty sure it's Dylan O'Brien. However, in the event that he isn't Spidey... these are my top picks:

Skander Keynes

Ryan Potter

Donald Glover

Nick Robinson

These are some of the actors that IMO could easily pull off the Spidey role, and would be interesting to see in the iconic suit. :yay:

Heck, if they were doing a gender-swap (for whatever, unlikely reason :oldrazz: ), Maisie Williams would be an excellent choice (heck, maybe even Mayday if they make a Spider-Girl movie someday).

Holy crap that Skander Keynes kid looks like Andrew or is it just me?

There is a resemblance for sure. XD

Certain angles really make it more noticeable though. Sometimes he doesn't:

He's also a pretty good actor from what I've seen.

1. He hasn't acted in live action for a long good while.
2. He's 23...might as well get Dylan O'Brien in that case.
3. He looks evil...

I wasn't really choosing these actors based on age anyway. How much they'd fit the role is what I'm aiming for.

You telling me that Spidey isn't the bad guy? :wow: I gotta stop reading the Bugle. :cwink:

I realized Glover is on that list....no. I probably the most open minded guy in this forum. There is not a single actor or concept I have disagreed with but no damn Glover.

If we're doing a gender swap, we could use Isaac Hempstead-Wright. :o

Maisie Williams kind of looks like him. :o

Spidey killed my puppies! According to the Bugle! :D

Well I just hope we get someone who can give us the peter and the spidey aspects we want in the characters. Be it dylan logan or who ever.

Some nice names you mentioned abive. Only one wouldn't work is glover and no it'd not that he is black. He is already same age as andrew 31. So he wouldn't even been a choice.

That reminds me. I wonder how Dylan would work with Jameson.

Very easily I say. Counting on how they handle him working at the bugle if he is only 15 to 17 range.

That's a forgotten suggestion. He was mentioned here a long time ago.
Could work as either one, but more Harry.

Anyway, are people sure they want O'Brien? Isn't he waaaay too old? He could have done it 20 years ago, you know the kid from Last Action Hero :woot:

I agree, he seems more like the Harry type of guy.

If they want to choose a super young guy they probably have a good reason.

I'll be fine with whoever the filmmakers end up going with. I trust Marvel's and Sony's judgment. Ultimately you can make an argument for a teen playing a teen or a twenty something playing a teen. Both casting models have been used in TV, Stage, and Film for decades, so none of this is as unprecedented or as risky as the fans act like it is. There are risks no matter who you cast, and there are costs and benefits to what ever direction they go in because nothing is guaranteed.

Bottom line is , they're gonna pick which actor they think is best for the role. These guys do this stuff for a living and they see and consider far more actors then could ever be suggested on the hype boards. We're gonna end up with a good actor in the role whether its a teen or a twenty something. They got this.

It seems like everyone suggested for Peter that isn't liked is automatically Harry. Same goes for suggestions that people don't like for MJ being called Gwen.

Skander Keynes looks like Krysten Ritter's younger brother.
