So, given his recent... behaviour, I'm pretty sure it's Dylan O'Brien. However, in the event that he isn't Spidey... these are my top picks:

Skander Keynes

Ryan Potter

Donald Glover

Charlie Rowe

Nick Robinson

These are some of the actors that IMO could easily pull off the Spidey role, and would be interesting to see in the iconic suit.

Heck, if they were doing a gender-swap (for whatever, unlikely reason ), Maisie Williams would be an excellent choice (heck, maybe even Mayday if they make a Spider-Girl movie someday).

Not really good choices imo.. Donald Glover is like 30 and Skander Keyes Robinson is okay.

Well I don't see that as totally wrong views. Heck it happens in tv or films all the time. Go in test for one role. Loose that role but ask back and land another. There is far to many examples to list.

I'm sure that's how William Hurt and Tim Roth got their roles in TIH, and Terrence Howard got his in Iron Man.

And Michael Douglas had tested for the role of Scott Lang back in the 1970s, but Edgar Wright took so long to get back to him that eventually when he finally confirmed it, he thought maybe he should offer him the role of Hank Pym instead.

Billy Unger looks good. Spencer Boldman looks like one of those high quality laminated plastic action figures in that picture, so damn artificial. Mateo Arias reminds me of TASM2's Deehan Goblin.

If they got Austin North just because he's 18, they might as well get Dylan O'Brien, because he looks the same age as him.

They're still around. And it's not like they're much better than the Disney actors. Charlie Rowe might be the best of a bad bunch. And really, that's not what we want for the actor for Peter to be: simply the best of a bad bunch. That's hardly aspiring very high
