Homecoming The Next Spider-Man - Part 9

Totally all we know is they want peter to he young in the 15 to 17 range when we meet him. Doesn't mean a. Character forever to be just that age in mcu. And b. Is they want someone who can play both sides of the role and can LOOK YOUNG ENOUGH for a few films. Someone like dylan who currently playing a 17 yr old on tv I still feel could pull off a 16 to 19 yr old peter for next 5 yrs of at least two solo films and civil war and both parts of infinity wars. Then must likely by 2019 2020 we be past teen spidey time anyway with mcu timeline.

Dark the runaways has been on and off the deck for a few yrs now. It looks like either marvel can't settle on a script they like. Or they holding it off right now cause of there other plans. Ie going more cosmic stuff. I am sure we will see then in the future maybe a phase 4 or 5 movie.

Well Jessica Jones was on and off the table as well, but eventually was greenlighted. I think the Runaways could easily be done as a TV series and would actually cater to younger audiences who want to see visibly younger heroes. I just don't want Spider-Man to feel like it's catering to that young age group because then it alienates some of the older viewers.

I want it that Spider-Man is able to look at the likes of the Runaways or Power Pack and think that while he is young, these kids are even younger, and not that they seem like such kindred spirits that maybe he should join up with them.

Imagine if Marvel got the FF back and they went so young with Peter that instead of him hanging out with Johnny Storm, his buddy is Franklin Richards instead.

He actually had a very minor role as a little boy in Spider-Man 2. I don't know which little boy that was though.

His twin sister is the actress Peyton List (whom they could get for MJ)

Don't really know what his comedic timing or acting is like though.

Thats a teenage RDJr! Maybe they should save him for Iron Ladd when Tony retires... or dies. Let's say he retires.

Well you could only really get one of them, and so I would go with whichever is the harder thing to find. I think since the talent pool for actresses for MJ is probably larger, then if you find a good Peter you should go with that if you find him. Not saying Spencer would be a good Peter though, as I haven't really seen him in anything.

But really though, if you did find the perfect Peter Parker and MJ in terms of looks, personality, acting ability, age etc, but they just happened to be a couple of siblings, would you let that stop you? Not saying those two are the perfect candidates, but hypothetically, if you did find the two most perfect ones who happened to be related, shouldn't you still consider them?

I think we need to take into account that even if they were perfect for the respective roles, they wouldnt have good chemistry together seeing as they're siblings, so even if theyre perfect on their own they wouldnt be perfect together. Twins are basically clones of themselves though so

Well hopefully it won't come to that and Spider-Man has already been cast, and they're going to announce it in the next week.

But individually, Peyton List and Spencer List do have a good look for MJ and Peter, and Peyton certainly has the personality for MJ.

It's not a thing. I have said that individually, they do look like Peter and MJ if you saw them completely separately, and if you saw them playing the characters in two separate productions of Spider-Man you probably wouldn't think twice about it.

I did also say above that you could only pick one of them. It's just that I've made the suggestion for both of them at the same time. But I've advocated Peyton List for one of the Spidey supporting characters before as she's the more famous of the two, and also IMO, the more dominant personality.

But if you didn't know of the existence of the other, wouldn't you think they could both individually be candidates for their respective parts?

Nice picture! At least now I know I'm not the only one thinking Andrew Garfield looks like Anthony Perkins . Andrew for PSYCHO's remake !! AHAH

But as for Shailene Woodley : NO. She's really beautiful, IMO, but no she does not look like Andrew's "hypothetical" sister, lol.

But where am I "defending" it all I want? I'm talking about the two individual actors separate from each other, and even in the post above, I said that you would only cast one of them. What part of "one" or "individual" do you not understand?

Even when I suggested them at first as Peter and MJ, I even had a smiley.

I only later added, as an afterthought, the idea that if Marvel did happen to find two people who were perfect for the part who just happened to be related, they could still consider it.

But as I've stressed not just in this thread but other threads, Spencer List OR Peyton List should be considered for those parts separately.

I still doubt any one from cast be someone from Disney or nick shows.

Spencer List isn't a Disney/Nick actor though, so on his own he could potentially be considered for Peter Parker, especially since he's the right age and is almost a complete unknown without any baggage, and does have the right look for Peter. One would have to judge his acting ability though, as the thing with almost complete unknowns is that there isn't much of their material around.
