Guys, I think we all get the fact that casting siblings for actors who are in love is not a good idea, no one is suggesting that. However, if one person doesn't get the role, their sibling could get the other role. Nothing wrong with that. It's essentially like the whole talk about how if an actor can't be Peter, they should be Harry, only it is different individuals for different parts. No one would suggest that someone should be peter AND harry. And none of us jumped to that conclusion.

But as for Shailene Woodley : NO. She's really beautiful, IMO, but no she does not look like Andrew's "hypothetical" sister, lol.

I've never found Shailene to be all that beautiful. Probably because people have tried to hype her up that way and she's never quite struck me that way. On top of that, the terrible pixie cut she has doesn't do her any favors.

Someone like Alexandra Daddario, on the other hand...

Same here. And people can argue that the unflattering pics of her arriving on set for ASM2 were just Shailene without her makeup, but the thing is that there are lots of women who do look good without their makeup on and even require very little to make them look decent. There are other pics of her not in makeup which are not from ASM2 where she doesn't look very good either, and her face looks puffy.

I don't think it's wrong at all, especially when most of the other MCU actresses who aren't even advertised as "hot" or even like supermodels look hotter than any actress who has portrayed or almost portrayed MJ.

At least MJ should look as decent as someone like ScarJo, Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Portman etc none of whom are supermodels. Even when they were young, they looked better than either Kirsten Dunst or Shailene Woodley.

But really though, if you did find the perfect Peter Parker and MJ in terms of looks, personality, acting ability, age etc, but they just happened to be a couple of siblings, would you let that stop you? Not saying those two are the perfect candidates, but hypothetically, if you did find the two most perfect ones who happened to be related, shouldn't you still consider them?

The siblings would never do it for obvious reasons...

But there's more to Pepper Potts, Jane Foster, Natasha Romanov etc than just being hot, but they're all hotter than Kirsten Dunst or Shailene Woodley. MJ can be as layered as those characters, but at least she should also be just as hot. And like I said before, it's not like they're considered supermodels.

Personally I thought that Dunst was a good MJ. I had no problems with her at all. The casting in those original films was great.
