Wil I don't think you get what I am trying to say someone like Asa with his slim petite body shape I don't think he would gain any mass at all if he did work out. He looks to be body type that will also be lean slim and can't bulk up more. Say like loan dylan or he'll even Tobey during Sm 1.

And that would be a problem for me if I didn't want a skinny Spider-Man (which I do).

I don't mind a skinny spidey fir a film or two if we are starting fairly fresh to scebe. And he can grow into a Tobey Sm 1 or logan/dylan size later. All I am saying is someone like Asa I can't see getting any bigger then he is presently and if that case we would during his time in mcu say for next 8 + yrs would be a small fry compared to even cap. I like someone who could be on par with cap size in time.

If Asa auditions with his British accent and his dry way of delivering humour, he will never pass the audition. We cannot have a Spider-Man who is so dry and reserved like that. Imagine a British, stiff-upper-lip Spider-Man.

All the main reasons I'd be disappointed to see him cast.

Hey he could be captain Britain corps spidey from spiderverse lol

Asa is a great young actor and while I wouldn't be opposed to him getting the role, I have doubts that he could pull off the Spider-Man aspect.

I have no doubts in any actor. I believe any actor has just as good a chance as pulling off the role as other actors.

The Britishness would be more like "Hmm... well, yes... you're a bit of a plonker aren't you?"

Which is not how Spider-Man speaks.

I think it's harder for British people to act more American, because they're typically more reserved and dry, and it's just a different attitude for Americans. Maybe that's why Garfield still came across as a bit forced. He can do the accent, but maybe it didn't seem that natural with the attitude.

Even when Hugh Laurie stars as House, although his American accent sounds spot on, he is still very dry and acerbic, even if he might be quick witted. It's one thing to be quick witted, but Spider-Man can't be dry.

Dylan Sprayberry is with Donald Glover on the list of "Will never ever happen" candidates.

He appeared in Man of Steel as Young Kal; He ain't ever getting cast in a Marvel film.
Agreed.
Actually I take that back.
Marvel can cast him easily. There aren't complications. I think he would at least play peter well. Why shouldn't marvel cast him?

Asa has comedic potential, I can tell it's in there somewhere. he just needs the right coach to bring it out into the light.

According to the schedule:
Dylan hype (done)
Lose hope in Dylan (done)
State opinion on other actors (done)
Asa hype (done)
Lose hope in Asa (in process)
Dylan reconsideration (up next)
Dylan hype (after that)
... and the cycle goes on!

If Asa can't do comedy or the accent he won't get the role. Simple as that. But if the other actors can't give a nauced performance they shouldn't get the role either. Maguire shouldn't have got the role because his Spider-Man sucked. Garfield should have dailed down the snark as Peter.

Are comedy coaches a thing? Wouldnt that just be the directors job?

There is such a disconnect with the choices for Spider-Man that regardless of who is chosen there is going to be a large number of displeased people.

When it all comes down to it, the choice, liked or not, is probably gonna do good and have a really good film. So we're all gonna end up seeing it anyway (im pretty hyped so I was never not gonna see it). You dont spend this much time on a board for ****s and giggles

Unless they chose some random person who we haven't mentioned who does 100% better than any of the other actors we have thought of.
Which wont happen. I can almost guarantee.

I will be happy enough with whoever is chosen. What I don't want to see again is the charisma vacuum that was Maguire's Spider-Man. If I see that again I am going to be pretty ****ing annoyed.

Even if Asa will get cast during his own hype, people will switch to Dylan hype in a heartbeat and complain about the bad choice.

And I'll love every minute of it. XD

Wrong, most people will probably jump on the Asa bandwagon and say they wanted him all along a la Andrew's casting back in the day:o

If Butterscotch gets cast I'm going to hate it until the movie comes out and changes my mind. That's the only reconsideration I'll be having. With Dylan, I'm sold from the beginning. #TeamDylan
