Changing a character's race just for the sake of change is a bit annoying.

However, if they casted a good actor in the role (Regardless of ethnicity), I'd be all for it. See MCD (RIP) as Kingpin.

I think a lot of fans would be annoyed to get Spider-Man back at Marvel for it's proper depiction and then have them cast someone of different ethnicity as Peter Parker

MCD as Kingpin was the only one that didn't bother me because it seemed like he was the only one that could've done the role. I don't know many white actors with that build, size, look, and voice that could've really done it. Maybe there is but I don't know any. It's not like the human torch fiasco where there are loads of actors that could play the part.

Peter Parker, Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne are the absolute no-no's when it comes to casting anything other than a caucasian guy. They as a trio are at the top of the superhero food chain in popularity and iconicity and must be portrayed as close to the version on the page as possible

I think the human torch case is a lot more debatable though
