The age of the actor doesn't matter too much if they look like a teenager, the problem is you need to think to the future and think how long you're gonna have to PP as a teenager, in which case casting a 25 year old to play a 17 year old could work, but then the next film when the actor is 28 playing an 18 year old might not work.

Lerman would be an interesting choice since he has the name value already and was a popular fan choice even before Garfield got the role.

As long as the actors looks and comes off as a teenager... Well, there we are.

Doesn't really matter if the actor's 19 or 29.

Dane DeHaan for Spidey then. :o
Let's leave the talking forehead out of this Spider-Man universe. Imagine he had a baby with Taryn Manning? It'd probably look like Sid from Toy Story...

...

first of all, how dare you. :o

I do remember the shortlist for Spider-Man actors back in 2010. Even with Sony looking for a young actor to portray Peter in his high school years, they went with the oldest actor on the list... a 28 year old Andrew Garfield. :hehe:

That Dane pic always makes me LOL.

Pretty sure that girl is fem-Dane... like, seriously.
They're long lost siblings... If they were ever in a movie together I don't know if I'd be able to handle it.

I recognise the kid on the left. He was in Doctor Who

I love Andrew, I think he's a great actor... I just never bought him as Spidey, appearance wise. He acted the role great, I just thought his body type and overall demeanor was too far off. I want to see a timid, introverted Spidey. Let's save the confidence for when the mask is on.

A bit unfair, considering Dylan hasn't shaved and Thomas is forever a 12 year old.

Exactly.

Though I think both would be great, I would go with Thomas just because of his youthful nature and he could play a teenager in 2016,17,18,19,20.

Let's not forget that whilst he might make a cameo in CW, his likely first major intro will be IW if they don't do a netflix series, in which case his first solo adventure would be 2019, 2020 when most these actors people are suggesting will be nearing 30.
