The guys on that list are still great for the role. :o

(except for... Douglas Booth)

Asa Butterfield could be a good Harry, looks wise at least.

Fan casting usually about as bad as the CW's casting. Usually more based upon looks, age, and other superficial elements rather than acting ability.

I like Dylan as an actor... but out of this list Logan would be my first choice.

This would be my selfish way of having both in the one movie. :o
I wouldn't mind Logan as Peter, he's definitely my second choice.

It can be , but its for fun for the most part. I'm more surprised when people get into flame wars about actors who won't get picked anyway.

Dylan O' Brien has the acting ability - he's capable, talented and could hold his own in the MCU. He just happens to have the looks for Peter too.

If Spidey is gonna be in the MCU, he needs a likeable actor who's good at their job but isn't so amazing that it'll be impossible to recast.

A good example is Hemsworth - he's good at acting, he looks the part... but it won't be difficult to find somebody else who looks like Thor. The look is so generic! Big, blonde, macho man. Peter Parker is a skinny, average guy with brown hair. SO MANY OF THESE PEOPLE EXIST.

Instead of looking for an RDJ, a Chris Evans or a Hiddleston - look for a Hemsworth. :yay:

This man's got a good head on his shoulders.:applaud

I'm gonna audition. Finally my looks and natural skinny build will be useful

I disagree with the easy to recast Thor bit, I don't see many people walking around looking like Hemsworth, and especially good actors.

.......If anybody has to play teenaged Peter, let it be a teenager.
Instead of young men...or 30 year olds

I say cast a teen Peter, complete unknown, and fill out the supporting cast with much more established actors, like Marvel do in a lot of their other movies.

It would be nice to break tradition though and I think that's what they want!

Child actors are getting better and more frequent nowadays.

David Mazouz has been killing it on Gotham... maybe in 2 or 3 years, he'll be ready for Marvel.

I keep seeing people on the internet bringing up Peter's height over and over again.

Not directing this at anyone here, necessarily, but if height is even remotely in your top 3 requirements for casting Peter, then you've misunderstood Spider-Man completely.
