Avi Arad should play Peter.

With Great Power, Comes Great Studio Interference

or alternatively: your father believed that if you could mess up other people's artistic visions, you had a moral obligation to do that! That's what's at stake here. Not choice. Ignorance.

Exactly.

Though I think both would be great, I would go with Thomas just because of his youthful nature and he could play a teenager in 2016,17,18,19,20.

Let's not forget that whilst he might make a cameo in CW, his likely first major intro will be IW if they don't do a netflix series, in which case his first solo adventure would be 2019, 2020 when most these actors people are suggesting will be nearing 30.

Thomas is a great actor - loved him in The Maze Runner, and that Doctor Who 2-parter.

Lol, first somebody suggests Phineas, now we got Ferb. :oldrazz:

Never really considered him for Spidey.

Yeah nor did I till today when I was trying to think of young actors who look the part, he easily could portray the geeky nerdy Pete, but then also have the sarcasm and wit.

He was a good McCartney to Aaron Taylor Johnsons Lennon in Nowhere Boy.

My cast for Marvel's Spider-Man: Dylan O' Bryan as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Kaya Scodelario as Mary Jane Watson
Anton Yelchin as Harry Osborn
AnnaSophia Robb as Gwen Stacy
Nina Dobrev as Liz Allen
Jonah Hill as Kenny Kong
Ben Barnes as Flash Thompson
Meryl Streep as Aunt May
Richard Gere as Uncle Ben

AnnaSophia is my choice for Betty Brant in my fancast.

I'll throw out another name, who's actually a good teen actor. Colin Ford of Under the Dome. The kid practically is Peter Parker and he's 18.

God, I hated that line soooo much... It was so awkward.

Just say the iconic line and get it over with.

Well Uncle Ben will be dead so I don't think they will cast someone famous as him, if he is in a flashback or something.

Also does anyone else kind of want a meta opening monologue by Spidey kind of describing what has happened to get him to the start of the film, and when he talks about his origins he says something like 'I'd go into more detail but you've probably heard it all before'

I not only want it, but I'm expecting it too.

''How I spent my summer vacation... by Peter Benjamin Parker! I can sum it up in one glorious, hyphenated word... SPIDER-MAN!!!''

:woot:

If they do end up going with an actual teenager
Then I definitely support Issas Hampstead-Wright.
He has all the qualities to be Spidey and nerdy Peter

I keep seeing people on the internet bringing up Peter's height over and over again.

Not directing this at anyone here, necessarily, but if height is even remotely in your top 3 requirements for casting Peter, then you've misunderstood Spider-Man completely.

This, also.

Hence why I want Vincent, but it is what it is.

Logan Lerman or Freddie Highmore if I had to choose, but I like a lot of the names that were brought up in the list.

Logan seems really natural, and Freddie is very innocent (which would help with the people that cried fowl that Andrew's PP was unlikable, snub and arrogant).

And who said they're looking for teenagers for the role? I haven't seen it.

I've been looking at young boys all day for nothing :o

Though this is obvious sarcasm, much to his credit he came off as a convincing teenager in Chronicle, which is one of my favorite movies.

Me too. :highfive:

Dane can play young, probably not for much longer. Did you know he auditioned for TASM1, but didn't make the shortlist.

Mine, as of right now:

Vincent Martella as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Olivia Cooke as Mary Jane Watson
AnnaSophia Robb as Gwen Stacy ( for you)
Amber Heard as Felicia Hardy/Black Cat (went the Ultimate route)
Luke Benward as Eugene "Flash" Thompson
Kelsey Chow as Liz Allan (she was in TASM franchise as a very small role)
Taylor Momsen as Sally Avril
Tyler James Williams as Randy Robertson
Jamie Lee Curtis as Aunt May (Ultimate Route)
Jeffrey DeMunn as Uncle Ben

Wow, makes me wish they would've used Harry in TASM instead of the sequel, but this is Sony we're talking about. :o
