He does give off more of a frat boy vibe. Of course I haven't seen him act yet. Just judging from pictures.

He looks a bit more "friendly" in glasses

From Maze Runner, I like that he seems weak (at the start) and bit of a pushover.

Has anyone thought of maybe that Andrew Garfield guy?

I know, he's a bit tall, but he was fantastic in the social network. I don't know, I think he could pull it off, I mean, he does LOOK like Peter Parker.

Imagine him facing Norman Osborn as the green goblin? I'm sure Sony will do really well in this new series, and they'll get the series back on track. Andrew Garfield is the way for me, he's perfect. I think he has the gravitas to pull off uncle ben's death scene, he definitely doesn't spill his milk in those scenes, he really gets stuck in. Obviously Sony won't retread the origin in a reboot, they'd go for a flashback though perhaps. Uncle Ben is really important to the franchise, aunt May and uncle Ben are basically peters parents so if we went with Andrew Garfield we'd have to make sure that that relationship is stressed. I was thinking maybe Martin sheen and Sally field for the part? As long as Sony doesn't do something dumb like make Peter go all skitzo over his dead parents or a secret underground base or a calculator we'll be good, no silly subplots, just focus on relationships.

I think Sony should go with possibly Gwen in the new series, we've already seen MJ, but it might be good to introduce MJ in the first film as well, just to add gravitas to Gwens eventual death at the hands of Norman Osborn. Andrew Garfield could act a death scene really well, especially if it happened quick, no slow-mo or anything like that. I'm thinking Emma stone for MJ and that Jennifer Lawrence girl for Gwen, she was really good in winters bone, but she probably doesn't have any big YA movies coming up, so I doubt she'd leave the set halfway through the film after a "script cut" or something.

I'm really looking forward to seeing some new villains as well, I think the lizard or rhino would be a good place to start. I know it goes without saying but the lizard would obviously have to look like a lizard, not a goomba from a mario movie or something, clearly with the lizard, his family would play a huge part. I'm looking forward to rhino, I've always wanted to see his classic suit. After transformers 2 came out it really showed that mechanical monsters just aren't that interesting, no way there will be any more transformers movies after number 2, or a mechanical rhino for that matter!!

I'm looking forward to how Sony handle Oscorp and the Osborn's, obviously you can't have Oscorp without them, so we'll definitely see Harry Osborn in the first movie, making Harry Osborn randomly turn up in the second movie would be as bad as Harry randomly killing Gwen, it's never going to happen!! Haha, lol

Andrew Garfield is definitely feeling good to me, I can see him facing off against some really powerful villians with moving back stories, like doc Ock, Kraven and Mysterio. I'd avoid electro if I were Sony, he's almost as bad as a smurf who forgot his birthday. If we HAD to do electro, he'd definitely keep his classic suit.

Norman Osborn should be the goal, get someone like Chris cooper and make sure not to waste him, I wouldn't kill him off after one movie, or even two. He has to be the end goal, I'd love to see Andrews reaction to Chris Cooper's Norman Osborn killing the girl of his dreams, Harry would have to support Peter of course. I hope they explain the goblin virus without using a "it's in your blood" trope. Make it more emotional than that.

I fully trust Sony with the reboot, and Andrew Garfield is the man for the job. I can't wait for the new spidey in 2012.

That's the one!
She's in 18 in February though.

But saying that...how old was she in Kick Ass for him to say that? :hmm

Guess she was 14 then.

*Edit*

Ok, probably younger. Kickass was released in 2010. No idea when filming began.

He's 6 years older...so he would've been 18...She was 12.

A-hem, moving on :o

There's other actresses her age that'd be a better MJ. Hailee Steinfeld comes to mind
