Because it's coming. He's the villian. The real question is who's going to play Connors and will they use CGI? And what story line do you want to see?

Don't think it'll be ol Lizzy? After it is announced Josh got the role, people will be posting manips of the Lizard like crazy.

Here's a picture of Ultimate Lizard, since we seem to be getting Ultimate Spider-Man/Peter.

Make Lizard completely CGI, and everything will be set. :yay:

Also, have Lizard as a suprise villain for the "OMG EPIC CLIMACTIC" Battle.

Have Lizard kidnap his family and take them into the sewers where he tries to turn them into lizards themselves so they can live in harmony, but Spider-man traces the Doc's footsteps and stops him before he can make any more monsters other than himself.

THAT'S what I want to happen in the reboot.

The Lizard is a good choice. They're being smart choosing a villain we have not seen in the previous franchise, much like Batman Begins did.

It would be cool to finally see The Lizard in a movie, but my only concern is the lack of Doc Connors' character development we saw in the last few movies.

But hey, it might not be THAT big of a problem...

Forgive me, but are you saying Connors got development in Raimi's movies? All we knew about him was he was one of Peter's college professors of physics, not Biology. He was a friend of Octavius'. That's all.

Well it is a reboot so why does it matter? That's like saying they shouldn't have used Alfred in Batman Begins because he wasn't explored enough in Batman and Robin.

Eh, I'm hoping that both 'leaks' are false. Lizard's a weak villain. There are plenty of other choices that haven't been used in the previous trilogy.

Oh god, I HOPE we don't get the Ultimate versions of ANY Spider-Man villain.

We need a freaking true version of the Lizard, even if the reboot is inspired by Ultimate with Peter being in high school and the characters.

And plus...

who in the hell thought of a purple lizard?

Lizard is a good choice. I say go CGI for his body, but use the actor to do his voice.

I say Lizard and someone else as the villains. Setup a good mafia auro to the franchise, with Tombstone as the head mafiaso.

I just can't see simply the Lizard, don't get me wrong, he's top notch, but the only?

The lizard is one of my favorite villains in spiderman universe but couldn't they save the lizard for the sequel? C'mon face it, even thou the lizard is awesome he is definitely more like a sequel type villain.

Everybody is saying that he will be the villain but for now it's just a rumor. And Josh Hutcherson cast as Peter Parker is also ********. I mean, he looks nothing like Peter Parker... how stupid would they have to be to really cast Josh Hutcherson?

"Hey, let's make something really good this time, something that the spidey fans will just love!"
"Well ok, shall we cast Reece Thompson or like Anton Yelchin as Peter Parker because they would be just great"
"No, let's cast some teen who sucks at the part!! How about Josh Hutcherson or Logan Lerman??

A sufficient choice in my opinion; I mean, if they're going to reboot the series, he's just a dramatic and popular enough villain to begin the franchise. In the meantime, the basic build up of characters such as Eddie Brock, Norman Osborn, and to etc. amount of origins would provide enough time to evolve within a 2-3 movie wide span, if they are successful with the first.

Well if this is true, there considerate enough to make a logical enough choice, and hopefully doing enough research to cast an accurate version of Peter Parker/Spiderman; watch Spiderman 3 and the cast choice for Venom. Nothing lowers to that disappointing verdict. :cwink:

I think the Lizard shouldn't speak at all. Would seem weird.

I see no problem with him having limited speech. Now, having him be "I want a world of reptiles!" Lizard would be goofy, but giving him the ability to maybe say smaller words or one word sentences I think could add a lot to him. Though, when he is in savage mode, he should be limited to scary noises.

I definitely want Lizard as the villain! I also think that there should be a smaller villain in the beginning. Someone like Rhino. OR you could have the 616 Kraven as a secondary foe.
