Arent you a Brit? And doesnt the name/spelling Leigh have British/English origins? That would mean that the British pronunciation - lee - prevails, no? (Analogously, Gloucester has only two syllables - so say the folks who live in Gloucester.)
Lea, OTOH, seems to be more contentious. Sometime lee is the correct pronunciation. But lee-ah is very common too.
Well I thought I've heard people in America with the name "Leigh" pronounce it as Lay before rather than Lee.
Anyway, at least I know how to pronounce Chyler Danvers's real name now and won't be getting her name wrong anymore.
